The '''Pit''' is a portion of [[Owca]], where sacrifices are left for [[Vapula]] and her horde of lusty demons to keep them from ravaging the village. When [[Rebecc]] encounters the champion in the [[Plains]], she will ask them to stand in as the sacrifice and hopefully fight back the demons. After doing so and gaining permanent access to Owca, from 16:00 onward, the player can volunteer to reenter the pit and face Vapula again. Although the sacrifice is said to be weekly, there is no restriction on what days the player can volunteer.

Alternatively, if the player lowers Owca's attitude enough to provoke combat and loses, they will be forced into the pit over Rebecc's objections. In this state, you will automatically submit to the demons, and stay in Owca for the morning in an extra scene.

==Sacrifice==
The first night in the pit will present the toughest challenge, as the villagers chain you up to prevent you from losing your nerve and escaping. Without having [[Stats|Strength or Speed]] of at least 80, you will be unable to escape the bindings, and you will be unable to use physical attacks of any kind. Even if you can gain your freedom, the villagers will have held on to your equipment, forcing you to enter the battle armored with [[Comfortable Clothes (CoC)|Comfortable Clothes]] and unarmed. Running is only possible if you can escape your bindings and have wings.

In future visits, if you volunteer for the pit, the villagers will have much more confidence in you. Regardless of their attitude toward you, they will not chain you up, and you will have your regular weapon and armor. Whether or not you have wings, you will be able to run.

==The Horde==
Once inside the pit, players will be awakened at 21:00 by the arrival of Vapula and her horde. After a brief conversation, they will have the choice to either submit or fight.

===Fight===
The lusty demons are a level 14 group, described as a mix of [[Imps (Codex)|imps]], [[Incubus|incubi]], and [[Succubus (Codex)|succubi]], led by Vapula. Every turn they will attack five times, making [[Magic|Blind]] a particularly effective spell against them. The horde has Corruption at 100, so if you have trained with [[Jojo]] and unlocked Cleansing Palm, it will deal heavy damage to them. If you are restrained, the biggest threat will likely be the Fatigue cost of your available actions. Defeating them will net you 150-249 gems, and for players with at least 60 Corruption, the option to take advantage of them. Whatever choice is made, you will reduce submissiveness to Vapula and return to camp afterward. Losing to them will lead to the same scene as submitting.

===Submit===
Choosing to submit will lead to the horde of demons raping you, increasing submissiveness to Vapula. Libido, Sensitivity, and Corruption will all increase; additionally, if you were not forced into the pit by the village, you will suffer losses to all other core stats. Once you awaken in the morning, you will hurry back to camp.

==Ending the Sacrifices==
If the demons are defeated when submissiveness to Vapula is already at 0, you will have several options:
* '''[Disband]''': You point out to the demons that they have no chance of defeating you, and threaten them to leave Owca alone for good. This will set Owca's attitude to 100 and disable the pit encounter.

The '''Doppelganger''' is the first boss that can be encountered in [[Lethice’s Stronghold]], found in the storage room east of the lobby. Fighting them is necessary to get the [[Laybans]], but since it is possible to get past the [[Basilisk (Race)|basilisks]] without taking them, the fight can be avoided. Should you choose to battle them, you will face a very bizarre opponent who must be defeated before the end of the fifth turn.

Prior to their current state, the Doppelganger was a demon who enjoyed changing themselves with frequency, particularly their gender. Because of that, Lethice chose to trap them in a mirror as punishment, forcing them to change into whoever would stand in front of it. After ten years of imprisonment, they are more than eager to escape with whatever the champion's form is.

==Stats==
Being your physical copy, the Doppelganger will mirror you in nearly every way: level, gender, [[stats], [[Weapons (CoC)|weapon]], and [[Armor and Clothing (CoC)|armor]]. The only difference will occur for genderless players, in that the Doppelganger will have a vagina. Their maximum health will be twice your Toughness plus 300. The Doppelganger gives 153 experience, but does not drop any items.

==Description==
The description of the Doppelganger is taken directly from the Appearance tab. Besides their physical traits, they are described as moving in a jerking manner, and using their tongue to explore the area around their mouth with a "horribly acquisitive, sensual interest".

==Battle==
Fighting the Doppelganger can be very tricky, with their stats matching yours and many attacks being countered. The time limit is the only real danger, as they only deal damage when you use an attack with no chance of success, so you can get an edge by putting on your weakest armor.

===Physical Attacks===
Even if you make an otherwise successful attack with your weapon, there is a 25% chance that the Doppelganger will match your move, negating the damage. This does not apply to Physical [[Special Attacks]] such as the Bow, which will go through normally.

===Tease===
The Doppelganger can be defeated through lust, depending on your relevant stats. Your [[perks]] are not copied, and any that impact your lust gains will not affect that of the Doppelganger.

===Magical Attacks===
[[Magic]] should absolutely not be used to attack in this fight—the Doppelganger will brush the spells off completely, and respond to Whitefire or Fire Breath with a counterattack. Utility spells can be used safely, however, and the Doppelganger is susceptible to Blind.

Throughout the fight, you will steadily fade into the mirror while the Doppelganger reforms. At the end of the fourth turn, there will be a note that you have enough time for one last gambit. At the end of the fifth turn, your lust will be set far beyond 100, leading directly to a [[Bad Ends|bad end]]: after taking your form, the Doppelganger overthrows Lethice and fulfills their promise to spare you the same fate by installing your mirror above their bed.

Once the Doppelganger is defeated, they will collapse in a sobbing heap, and you will silently note how appealing the sight must be to your enemies. You may then have two choices:

==Battle==
Jean-Claude has 650 HP, and is capable of performing two attacks with his cutlass. Teasing him will have little effect, and is very dangerous, as he can use his stare to entice you into removing your armor. If he succeeds, you will have to spend the rest of the fight undefended.

However Jean-Claude is defeated, he will tear out his own throat, committing suicide. If the player's [[Corruption]] is at least 60, he will comment that he refuses to let you disgrace him; otherwise, he does it to escape the wrath of Lethice, and suggests that you do the same before you meet her. With his death, the basilisks turn to you as their new ruler, and you order them to vacate the hall.

Losing to Jean-Claude will lead to the same possible set of bad ends detailed above.

Benoit is a blind [[Basilisk (Race)|basilisk]] who, along with Pierre, his Alsatian, runs a pawn shop in the [[Bizarre Bazaar]]. "Geckos Garbidg", as the scrawled sign labels it, is open from 9:00 to 17:00. A female or herm player can have sex with him and become pregnant. A male path feminizing him was planned but not yet implemented. He is a source of the Oviposition [[Perks#Oviposition|perk]] for non-bird/reptiles with vaginas.

==Shop==

Unlike [[Oswald]] in [[Tel'Adre]], Benoit only pays 1/3 of the items he buys (unless he impregnates a sufficiently fertile PC) and offers a selection of items for sale for twice their base value (eggs don't change this).

==Sex==

Go to Benoit while pregnant with [[Oviposition_Elixir|Ovi Elixir]] eggs or while in heat, and you will have the option to suggest sex. After you take the option once it remains unlocked afterward, no matter your pregnancy or lack thereof.

He at first has two basic scenes, one wherein you goad him into being dominant, and one wherein you dominate. The first time, you will get a modified version of the latter, followed by the option to accept contraceptive herbs or not. This is a bit silly, since one's womb may contain eggs already for this scene, but perhaps basilisk semen has some way to alter existing eggs.

==Feminization==

If you have 40 relationship with him, and have not had sex with him as a female; talking with Benoit will trigger a scene that makes it possible to turn him into a girl. You will need to bring the right items to Benoit to do this.

==Perks==

After having sex with Benoit, the next time you select the Talk option he will give you a theoretical recipe for getting the Oviposition [[Perks#Oviposition|perk]] without needing harpy or lizan transformations. In fact, this is all he will talk about once you unlock it, so be sure you've seen all his other Talk text first if you want to. It's probably a bug.

The recipe is:

* basilisk blood, which isn't an item and will be provided by Benoit
Bring these to Benoit and select the Basilisk Womb option. Then return and Suggest sex. This unlocks both the Oviposition and Basilisk Womb perks - the latter allows Benoit to impregnate you, and also the generic Basilisks that you encounter in the High Mountains.

While in the [[Bizarre Bazaar]] between 19:00 and 20:00, you may find yourself wandering down a dark alley, where a tiger-morph leaving his tent will bump into you. He very forcefully tries to show you how dangerous wandering the bazaar at night can be, which players can respond to in one of three ways.

==Escape==
Players can easily surprise the tiger by pulling out of his grasp and running. He will briefly pursue the player, but ultimately fail to catch them, and you will shortly return to the bazaar.

==Wait==
The tiger will immediately toss you inside the tent, where you find that he's decided to use you as payment in a poker game. The other players—a bear-morph, an [[orc]], and a [[Satyr (Race)|satyr]]—decide to accept it, and force you to drink a [[Lust Draft]]. As the gangbang goes on, the bear and tiger will bicker over who gets your mouth, and you will have three choices. This will affect the potion and note you receive when you wake up in the morning.

The '''Erlking''' is the self-described Master of the Wild Hunt, who can be encountered in the [[Deepwoods]]. The stag-like being rides on horseback, and is accompanied by a pair of [[Dog-Morph | Hound]]s.

==The First Wild Hunt==
No matter what choice is made, the player will ultimately be surrounded by the Hounds, at which point the Erlking will appear and introduce himself. If you stood your ground, he compliments your audacity and leaves a [[Canine Pepper]] for you. If you tried to flee, he criticizes your speed and leaves a [[Fox Berry]].

==Future Hunts==
To skip the hunt altogether, just choose to wait, and the Erlking will lose interest. If you choose to run, then a hunt score will be generated based on the player's stats and perks.
* Add the player's [[Stats | Intelligence and Speed]].
* Subtract twice the player's Fatigue.
* Add 10 if the [[Perks#Speed|Speed]] Stat Perk was chosen.
* Add 20 for [[Perks#Evade|Evade]].
* Add 20 for [[Perks#Runner|Runner]].
* Add 10 for [[Perks#Incorporeality|Incorporeality]].
* Add 10 for [[Perks#Lunging Attacks|Lunging Attacks]].
* Add 30 for either [[Perks#Nine-tales (Corrupted)|Nine-tales (Corrupted)]] or [[Perks#Nine-tales (Enlightened)|Nine-tales (Enlightened)]].
* Add 20 for having a [[Drider]] body.
* Add 10 for each perk given by [[Akbal]].
* Subtract 20 times the player's [[Transformative Scores#Kitsune Score|Kitsune Score]].
* Subtract 20 times the player's [[Transformative Scores#Bunny Score|Bunny Score]].
* Subtract 20 times the player's [[Transformative Scores#Harpy Score|Harpy Score]].

===Results===
If the player scores 150 or more, they will successfully escape the hunt, gaining a possible increase to either Toughness or Speed.

If the hunt score is between 100 and 150, or the player has either a Kitsune, Bunny, or Harpy score of at least 4, the Erlking will capture them while applauding their efforts. Players then have five choices:
* '''[Sex]:''' The Erlking has sex with the player. This heals up to 100 health, increases Fatigue by 10, and increases either Toughness or Strength by 1.
* '''[Prize?]:''' The Erlking hands the player a sack of 10-24 Gems and either a Canine Pepper, a Fox Berry, or a [[Neon Pink Egg]]. He vanishes, promising to return for the next hunt.
* '''[Stop]:''' Rather disappointed, the Erlking will vanish, and no longer appear in the game.
* '''[Surrender]:''' One of the [[Bad Ends]], as the player is transformed into a third Hound and prepares to join the next hunt.
* '''[Revenge]:''' The player slaps the Erlking's cane out of his hands, leaving him powerless, and forces him to give oral sex. He will no longer appear as Erlking, but as '''Princess Gwynn''', replacing the Wild Hunt encounters.

If the player scores less than 100 and does not have sufficient prey score, the Erlking will find your attempted escape disappointing, and turn you over to his Hounds. Anywhere from 10-24 Gems will be lost, and a Canine Pepper will be left behind. Libido increases by 2, Corruption increases by 1, and Sensitivity decreases by 2.
