Leold is a follower of [[Master Tollus]] and member of the [[Demon Cult]]. Nearly 20 years ago, he was part of the attempt to take over [[Hawkethorne]], only to be foiled by [[Gweyr]]. Unknown to her and the defenders of the town, he survived, and has been working in secret with Tollus since. Leold is encountered in the present day during the events of [[Winter Wolf]]. He's artificially prolonged his life with gifts and potions from [[Mareth]], and has become Tollus's most loyal follower and apparent second-in-command.

He's initially reluctant to challenge the woman who he just witnessed kill more than twenty people, but defends [[Master Tollus]] after Gweyr breaks Tollus's fingers. Leold doesn't fare well, either being run through by Gweyr or [[Brother Sanders]].
