Gytha is a female half-boreal elf, half-wyld elf who guards the Gates of Winter that leads to The Winter City. She is accompanied by her loyal war-mount and companion, Demon's Shadow. Being entrusted by Queen Alissa as the gate keeper, she was ironically spared from the most of the corruption that overtook Alissa and her warriors.
She's had the honor of serving Alissa when they were both of young age. Gytha was chosen as Alissa's hunting partner because Queen Alraince had forced her to take at least one hunting partner because Alissa hated the adult hunters that belittled her, and Gytha confesses that she doesn't know why Alissa had chosen her. The two grew to become close, as when Queen Alraince had passed, Queen Alissa would sometimes use to the excuse of hunting to confide her griefs and grievances to Gytha. She had made a promise to Alissa that she would be by her side no matter what, and her loyalty and duty is what drives her to always see the best in Alissa, even after all the evidence against her. Being a half-blood, she was shorter and weaker compared to the rest of her peers, and she was picked on for it. Gytha's undying loyalty for Alissa comes from the fact that when she saw herself as a failure, Alissa had seen what she was good at and chose her out of everyone else to be her guard.
Her fate is heavily dependent on whether or not the Champion was able to prevent her from returning to Alissa during the events of The Demon of Ice; if she was captured in the Frostwood, she will be brought to the Wayfort Dungeon and can either be exiled or become the fort's new Huntsmaster, if she was not, she will reappear as the Demon Dragoon as the Champion makes their way to Dracia Keep, where she can be captured, executed or simply left.
As huntsmaster and liegewoman, Gytha is inspired by a High Confidence Etheryn, being able to serve a worthy queen with pride instead of guilt. Gytha has an affinity to being tied by a knotted cock. As huntsmaster, Gytha patrols the Frostwood with Demon's Shadow to ensure no danger comes for her people. Appearance
The woman is a boreal elf with a long, aureate ponytail that flows up to her lower back and wiggles every time she moves her head. A single lock of hair has escaped her bun; a golden river that springs over her eyebrows and runs down her face to tickle one of her cheeks before falling gently over her shoulder. Just as if she was trying to hide that lock, Gytha runs her fingers over the fringe and pushes it behind her pointy ear, only for the hairs to mock her attempts and return to their original position.
The girl averts her gaze and a faint blush appears over her pale face. One thing is clear: Gytha gets excited easily. She bites her lip and her breathing turns heavy. The Gate Guardian
First Encounter
When the Champion makes their way to the Winter City for the first time, as they near the bridge, a woman on a black warg-mount rushes towards them. She announces herself, and that by order of the Queen, the city gates are sealed and none shall pass. With that, she commands her warg to charge the Champion and a fight begins.
If the Champion is defeated, one of the defeat sex scenes will occur. If they are instead victorious, the following options will become available. Additionally, if Etheryn is present, she comments that she recognizes Gytha as one of Alissa's hunting partners.

Interrogate
The Champion has some questions for Gytha, firstly, they ask if they've seen the demon Kasyrra. Confused, Gytha answers that the only demon she knows is her warg, although the queen has been fucking like a succubus as of late. The palace has become a nonstop orgy ever since the queen's new stud showed up, and everyone's been fucking nonstop whether they want to or not. If Etheryn is present, she asks if Alissa went crazy without her there - Gytha answers that Alissa got real mad until she found herself a new beau; else, when asked how it came to that - Gytha answers that ever since the Duchess of the Rim ran off, Queen Alissa went crazy until she found a new beau.
With Kasyrra's words in mind, the Champion comments that they need to find the queen. Gytha answers that the whole castle is locked down, and while they've gotten past her, there is a full company of the queen's best warriors guarding the door. They note that they'll just need to find another way in.
Subsequent Encounters
While the Palace of Ice has not been cleared, Gytha will follow her orders to prevent anyone from crossing the bridge, even if the Champion has defeated her already.

Post-Palace of Ice
First Encounter
Once the Winter City has been cleared, but while the Champion has yet to depart for Dracia during the events of The Demon of Ice, there is a chance to encounter Gytha again in any zone of the Frostwood.
Upon returning to the Frostwood, the Champion will hear the sound of a long howl. Turning to the sound reveals Gytha atop her warg, she calls to them as she's been waiting to talk to them. She takes a deep breath and asks where Queen Alissa went, as she knows they're the only one with the answer. When the Champion comments that they hope she isn't thinking of following her, Gytha gives a nonchalant answer and presses them for an answer.
The Champion only offers Gytha silence, to which she answers that she'll find the Queen herself, and storms off.
Etheryn trembles at her sister's name, but remains silent avoiding Gytha's gaze; giving her all the answers she's going to get. Indignantly, Gytha answers that she'll find the Queen herself, and storms off.

Subsequent Encounters
Subsequent encounters with Gytha will have the Champion note paw prints engraved in the snow. Recognizing it to be a warg's, they assume that Gytha is nearby and considering she's not hiding her tracks, they can assume that it's an invitation. With that, the Champion has the following options:

Pursue
Should the Champion pursue the tracks, they eventually find Gytha and her warg.
Holding her lance, she asks the Champion what they want, and she cautions them that she'll fight to protect her name.
She warns the Champion that while she can forgive their offenses, she cannot force her warg to do the same.

Talk
When asked shouldn't she be guarding the gates, Gytha answers that she used to be, and because she failed her queen, Alissa was forced to temporarily abandon her royal duties. Her loyalty to Queen Alissa is something the city guard of the Winter City consider a bother. While she does acknowledge Etheryn as regent and would fight to protect her and the city from any danger, she does not acknowledge her as queen, and she will follow Alissa when she returns even if it goes against Etheryn's wishes - as it is her duty to serve the queen and not the regent. If present, Etheryn will ask even if it is a queen who has turned against her people - Gytha answers that it is not her place to judge, that she is still the queen nonetheless even if the whole city has judged her. Etheryn then asks if the city guard shares her view, Gytha replies that they don't, but states that they are wrong as they don't know the queen. A High Confidence Etheryn will then answer that she knows her sister quite a bit, too well even - Gytha can only answer that it was only the worst side of her.
When asked on what she thinks about Alissa, Gytha answers that she is no position of judge the queen, but she's had the honor of serving her since they were both of young age. Alissa had loved hunting, but hated being alongside the adults as they belittled her. Queen Alraince required Alissa to bring at least one hunting partner, so she chose Gytha. She is pretty proud of it, but she still fails to understand why she was chosen, as they had only met once before. Alissa didn't introduce herself and only asked if Gytha wanted to hunt, to which she answered that she did. By the time of Queen Alraince's death, Gytha had become Alissa's trusted hunting partner, to which Alissa would express her griefs and grievances to. While she does not support everything Alissa has done, she can say that she supports her queen with her honor and very soul.
The Champion asks if she's aware that Alissa had bankrupted the city, handing it over to Kasyrra, and became a demon herself. Gytha stutters, answering that she is now aware of it, but it doesn't change anything.

Pre-Dracia Confrontation
The following conditions are required for the Champion to encounter Gytha just as she's found out where Alissa had went.

If all conditions are met, the next time the Champion goes into any zones of the Frostwood, they will immediately encounter Gytha, and she will run into them as she had been rushing to Dracia. When she sees the Champion, she stops and states that fate must really love making them meet on the road, but she does not have time to spare and asks them to move aside. When asked if she was making her way to Alissa, she echoes back to the promise she made of finding Alissa herself.
The Champion suggests that Gytha reconsider what she's doing as Alissa isn't the same anymore, that she's only dooming herself. Gytha answers that she'll doom herself to the guilt if she doesn't even try, she has chosen her way and will fight to defend her choice.
Etheryn genuinely asks why Gytha would go so far for Alissa, to which Gytha answers with pride that it is her duty to, and because she wants to. She once promised Alissa that she would be by her side no matter what, and she intends to fulfill that promise. She wants to try to guide her to the right path, even if she fails. When asked even if she knows that it's an impossible task, Gytha firmly answers that she has made her choice and is willing to fight for it.
Etheryn states that loyalty will not protect her from the corruption that has taken Alissa, and that it will only lead her down the same path. Gytha answers back that no danger can stop her from going, even if trying to help Alissa is all she can do. This is what she's chosen, and she is willing to fight to defend her choice.
With that, the following options will become available:

With Gytha defeated, the last thing she does before falling unconscious is to mumble Alissa's name. Convinced that the only solution in dealing with Gytha is to imprison her at the Wayfort until Alissa has been dealt with, the Champion hauls her with Demon's Shadow following along.
The Champion will hand Gytha over to Daliza, who thanks them for their actions as losing one of their finest hunters to Alissa would have been a terrible blow to them. She's sure that when everything is said and done, Gytha will thank the Champion for saving her from herself. She calls upon some of the rangers to drag her to the dungeons below, reassuring the Champion that they'll take good care of her until the Dracia mission is resolved.
The Champion tosses Gytha into one of the cells beneath the fort and tasks some of the maids to look after her until their business on Dracia is settled.
With the Champion defeated, Gytha bites her lower lip and a blush beings to form on her face, however, she restrains herself as she doesn't have the time for such things. She forces herself to look away, and quickly departs towards Dracia.
Additionally, if Etheryn is present, she will suffer a (-10) to her Confidence.
Demon Dragoon
Gytha's fate will take a drastic turn post-Palace of Ice, and it is dependent on whether or not the Champion was able to stop her from returning to Alissa's side during the events of The Demon of Ice. If Gytha's return was prevented, Melara will take her place as the Demon Dragoon.
If the Champion was unable to stop Gytha, or missed her entirely, she will make her reappearance in Dracia. As the Champion nears Dracia Keep, a demon with golden hair flies down, and bellows her name; Gytha Myrrada Odain. The demon Gytha announces that while she still stands, they will not breach the palace gates; that she has given everything to her queen, including her soul. With that, a fight begins.
If the Champion is defeated, Gytha will grow a cock to fuck Daliza, before she has her way with them and bringing them to Alissa. If the Champion is victorious, the following options will become available:

As of version 0.6.31, the captured Demon Dragoon Gytha cannot be interacted with yet.

Gytha explains that the Odain have always been a well respected family, although she barely knew her parents as they died when she was just an infant. She had an older brother, who was the pride of the city guard, and she would wait for him at the gates whenever he came back from a mission; until one day, he never came back. While her voice carries a sorrowful tone, she states that his death honors his name and commitment, and that she took it upon herself to carry on his legacy, to be part of the guard like her was.
When asked how it went, she nervously explains that she wasn't talented like her brother or Daliza, and with wyld blood in her, she was shorter and weaker than her peers. No matter how hard she tried, she saw in their eyes only amusement at best, and pity at worst. It was then that one day, when she was alone training with Demon's Shadow that she met Alissa. She had thought herself a failure, like everyone did, until Alissa saw what she was good at and designated her as to be her guard out of everyone else. The trust Alissa placed onto her, Gytha pays undyingly.
Post-Dracia
Breaking the News
Returning to Gytha after the events of The Demon of Ice depends on whether or not Alissa was spared or not.
The Champion returns to a fatigued Gytha as she comments they've returned from Dracia. The Champion interrupts her to state that Alissa is dead. As if slapped, a wide eyed Gytha steps back and her voice trembles as she accuses them of lying, if present, she will look to Etheryn and Etheyrn's actions confirms her fear. She turns pale when they confirm they aren't lying. Her gaze stares into nothingness as she tells them to leave.
Returning to Gytha, the Champion finds her staring in to the nothingness of her cell floor. Calling her attention, Gytha snaps out of her thoughts, springing up from her bed and looks at the Champion with shining bright eyes. She attempts to hide her enthusiasm to be as professional as possible. She greets the Champion and, looking at them with respect, states that she appreciates what the Champion has done. She explains that even when they had Alissa at their mercy, they did not end her life, and for that she thanks them sincerely.
The Champion states that Gytha needs to know that Alissa's madness has gone too far, that she's become a demon with nothing but contempt.
Gytha turns to the direction of Alissa's cell, and while she has doubt in her eyes, states that she believes them. Yet she can't stop wondering if Alissa can still be saved or is it too foolish to envision a future where she can at least get her soul back. The Champion answers that they wouldn't hold their breath - Gytha replies that she suspected that was the case, hiding her disappointment under distant professionality. She clears her throat and states that she'd like a moment to organize her thoughts as there's a lot for her to take in.
If Etheryn is present, the Champion states that it wasn't their call alone as Etheryn was the one who had to endure Alissa's abuse for years. Gytha attempts to manifest her thoughts, however, all she can muster is to briefly look at Etheryn's eyes and replies that it honors her. Etheryn states that Gytha needs to know that Alissa's madness has gone too far, that she's become a demon with nothing but contempt.
Gytha turns to the direction of Alissa's cell, and while she has doubt in her eyes, states that she believes them. Yet she can't stop wondering if Alissa can still be saved or is it too foolish to envision a future where she can at least get her soul back.
Etheryn nor the Champion provide her an answer, and with the deafening silence, tears gather from Gytha's eyes.
Etheryn reaches for Gytha's hands, and she looks into Etheryn's eyes for the first time since Alissa was brought to the dungeon. Etheryn makes her a promise if there is even the smallest of chances Alissa can get her soul back, she will do everything in her power to make it happen. Gytha turns away in an attempt to hide her emotions as she mumbles that it means a lot to her.
After Contemplation
Returning to Gytha after 24 hours, she greets the Champion in a formal manner. She states that she's been wanting to speak to them as she owes them an apology; the she was a coward, scared of losing the only one who believed in her. That if she lost Alissa, she would go back to being the failure that she was when she was little, that it was easier to look the other way than face the fact that what Alissa was doing was wrong.
She wants to believe that Alissa wasn't always bad, that there must have been a moment where Alissa turned into a cruel woman and she let it happen. Perhaps if she tried to do anything before, things would have been different, and the guilt of her inaction was one of the reasons why she was so keen on finding Alissa. She had failed Alissa when she truly needed someone to steer her to the correct path.

She had failed Alissa when she truly needed someone to steer her to the correct path. She proceeds to kneels on one knee and lowers her head towards Etheryn.
With Alissa gone, the only thing she can do is try to make up for her mistakes. She offers herself to them, to use how they see fit; they can take her life, make her atone for her sins and for the ones that Alissa left unpaid. That if they take her in as a liegewoman instead, she swears over her name that her loyalty to them will never waver.
She states that she also failed Lady Etheryn when she let Alissa force her wishes upon her and everyone else. She failed ever Var Ridell, let down the very name of the Odain family, and now she realizes that she never stopped being the pitiful little girl when she met Alissa. If a High Confidence Etheryn is present, she states that she has learnt from Etheryn's courage and wants to change; else, she states that she wants to change that. She asks that if they take her in as a liegewoman, she will devote everything to them. Yet should they chose to punish her, she will understand and take her sentence without complaint.
With that, the following options will become available:

No matter how hard she tried, she saw in their eyes only amusement at best, and pity at worst. It was then that one day, when she was alone training with Demon's Shadow that she met Alissa. She had thought herself a failure, like everyone did, until Alissa saw what she was good at and designated her as to be her guard out of everyone else. The trust Alissa placed onto her, Gytha pays undyingly.
When asked about how Alissa was before, Gytha answers that Alissa had loved hunting but hated the adult hunters that belittled her. She wanted to go alone but Queen Alraince had forced her to bring at least one hunting partner with her; she chose Gytha. While proud of the fact that she was chosen, she still doesn't know why she was as they had only met once before. Unknowing of who Alissa was, she had simply asked Gytha if she wanted to go hunting, she answered yes. When they returned after a whole day, Alissa took great pleasure in the faces of the panicked adults that were supposed to take care of her.
While faint smile flashes over her as she states that she was only a disobedient rascal back then, it turns to full sorrow as she ponders that it was more likely that Alissa was testing everyone's limits to see how bad she can behave to get her mother's attention. Unfortunately Queen Alraince was either too busy or too kind to scold Alissa, while Alissa perceived her mother as uncaring. It was when Queen Alraince died that Alissa changed, that she had cried tears of anger and wrath, and became full of spite and anger towards the world. The Champion reassures Gytha that Alissa is responsible for her own actions, yet Gytha replies that so is she for the fact that she was unable to help her friend.
When asked why Gytha doesn't see Etheryn too fondly, Gytha is surprised that she gave that impression. She never had anything against her, but looking at Etheryn reminded her of how weak she was. Gytha is ashamed that she had failed Etheryn, that she could relate to how alone Etheryn was before and that she wished she could have lent her a hand, but she didn't do anything. Avoiding Etheryn was an attempt to run away from her own remorse. When asked if that changed;
Gytha answers no, that she's only gotten better at hiding it, that she is broken and she let it happen. Tears form in her eyes as she states that she can only hope to learn from the past to make it worth something. That is why, while she can't stand and pretend everything is fine with Etheryn around, she can still dedicate her life to protect her.
She is thankful that where she lacked courage, Lady Etheryn has showed it in spades. That Etheryn risked everything and managed to become the person she is now. That is something she can only admire and Etheryn inspires her to make peace with her past. She answers the initial question; Etheryn has grown into a worthy queen, one that she is happy to serve with a sense of pride instead of guilt.

The Frostwood Encounter
During the day (6:00-19:59), Gytha as huntsmaster can be encountered in all zones of the Frostwood.
As the Champion makes their way through the woods, a familiar howl reaches their ears and Demon's Shadow appears to let them know that Gytha is nearby, and leads them to her. She greets the Champion, and Etheryn if present, and states that she's simply patrolling the woods to keep the people safe and that Demon's Shadow sensed a familiar scent and brought them to her. With a blush on her face, she asks if they're willing to indulge in some vying, just like old times. With that, the following options will become available:

Demon's Shadow is Gytha's loyal companion warg and mount. Like many of the wargs trained by the elven warg-riders, he is a very obedient and combat capable companion.
