Effects are temporarily attached to characters, giving them stats, rule adjustments and abilities while they last.

They can be

Types

  • Combat Effects are created by combat abilities, their duration is measured in turns, and are removed at the end of a fight.
  • Status Effects are obtained in many different ways, including items and events, and remain in place for a limited duration measured in in-game time.
    • Boons are a special type of status effect that maximizes a single basic stat. Only one at a time can be active, so receiving a new one while still under the effects of one removes the one already applied.
