Astra was born and raised on the icy moon of [[Uveto]], an ausar colony that played host to a warrior order called the [[Stormguard]], which took a young, pregnant Shade in when she arrived on the planet as a stow away. While Shade eventually resumed her career as an insterstellar bounty hunter, she left her daughter Astra behind to be raised by her friends among the Stormguard.
