Xenogen Biotech is a relative newcomer to rise to prominence on the galactic stage. They've earned a reputation for quality gene therapy mods that work faster and more effectively than the competition. Gene therapies that range from cosmetic enhancements to hostile environment adaptation for races migrating to different climes have been produced under this company's roofs.

Out on the rim, there are many Xenogen installations and facilities, many of which are rumored to engage in questionably unethical research. There have even been suggestions that the company is tied to the illegal slave trade, selling research specimens it has finished with as permanent indentured servants. Nothing has ever been proven, and so long as their products work better than the competition's, they'll continue to hold a strong market share.
