Description
Micro-rocket pod turrets are found in the Stellar Tether, guarding the second-station interior from intruders.
Appearance
Several sleek black turrets are arrayed before you across the walkway, the roof of the installation, and even some hover-plats floating around the walkway’s side, tethered to the station. Any chance of stealth on this mission is long gone, now, as volleys of micro-rockets lock into barrels, ready to blast you to smithereens.
Interactions
Rocket pods are instantly hostile towards the player character and will engage in combat upon encounter. However, it is possible to avoid a direct encounter by sneaking past them (if the player character is a smuggler) or hacking and disabling them using the codex (if the player character is a tech specialist and passes a randomized intelligence check: 25 or higher intelligence will instantly pass, below 5 intelligence will instantly fail).
Combat
Rocket turrets fight as a mob using ranged thermal attacks. Having an attack that can hit multiple targets is useful. They are fitted with premium shields.
Combat actions include:
- Rocket - One HEAVY physical attack (kinetic and burning damage), but has a low to-hit chance.
- Shields Up - Re-charges 50% of shields once they drop. Only once per encounter.
Resistances:
- 40% weakness to electric attacks
- 100% immunity to lust attacks
In the Stellar Tether mission, losing in combat from the rocket pods will result in death.
Loot/Items/Equipment
Rocket pods drop no loot or credits but are worth 250 XP.
Quests
The rocket pod turrets are associated with the Stellar Tether questline.
