Summary


After rescuing Saendra in the Fall of The Phoenix mission, there is a chance for a new distress call from her again. Steele will receive the message while away from Tavros Station and when Saendra's current affection for Steele is high. The distress call will ask for aid in helping Saendra in something dangerous.

To respond to the emergency, Steele has to meet up with Saendra on Tavros within 6 hours of the call. If Steele arrives at Tavros Station's hanger elevator too late, Saendra will be missing and her whereabouts will be unknown indefinitely. If arriving to elevator on time, Steele will meet Saendra on the construction site of Deck 92. Here, both will be ambushed by a group of assassins. Losing to the encounter will lead to a bad end, whereas a victory will reveal that Seandra's friend is in danger and Steele will have less than 7 days to help Saendra rescue her friend.

Depending on the decisions made during the mission, the results may vary, including a Bad End or the capture of Saendra by Black Void pirates.

Requirements:


Helping Saendra


Responding on time to initial call and post-battle will get Steele involved in helping Saendra with her rescue mission.

If engaged in combat, she will have the following combat actions:

  • Hammer Pistol - Attack that deals kinetic damage to the opponent.
  • Low Blow - Attack that deals kinetic damage to the opponent.
  • Valeria Shield Hack - Attack that deals electric damage to the opponent's shields.
  • Shield Booster - Special ability where she will restore Steele's shields by 25% of the capacity if they are not maxed out.
  • Disarming Shot - Special ability with a chance to temporarily disarm an opponent.


Areas and Encounters


Steele will undergo automatic advancement throughout the rescue mission, with varying encounters. Most of the interactivity will take place with the branched decision making and any combat actions.


NPCs

  • Peter - Saendra's friend who works at the station.
  • Bodyguard - Guard at the area of interest.
  • Call Girl - Prostitute in a neighboring room.


Hostiles


After leaving the elevator and arriving on the deck's construction site, Steele and Saendra will immediately encounter a gang of Black Void assassins. Because of the setting, the entire battle will take place in "Pitch Black", decreasing aim and reflexes by 66%. Losing in battle will lead to a bad end. Victory in battle will return Steele back to the elevator and Saendra back to the bar.

At this point, Steele will then have 7 days to talk to Saendra about her friend

After Steele and Saendra reach the hotel corridor, the first encounter will involve knocking out a non-combative bodyguard, the situation varying based on Steele's physique. The bodyguard will drop his gun and Steele can choose to either Take It or Leave It. Afterwards , Steele will be presented with a variety of decisions to plan out the rescue and dealing with the other guards inside the room.

Steele can choose to:

  • Barge in with a Door Breach:
    • This will result in combat with the mercenary guard.
  • Utilize the Call Girl as a distraction:
    • Pay her 200 credits for half-an-hour of sex.
    • Pay her 200 credits to distract the guards.
      • This will disable both the mercenary and the tech specialist guards.
  • Ask Saendra for help:
      • This will disable the mercenary guard.
  • Ask Valeria for help:
    • If Steele is a tech specialist, the option to Holo Burn will be available
      • This will disable the tech specialist guard.
  • Throw in a Flashbang and storm the room:
    • Must be a smuggler or have a flashbang on hand.
    • This will result in combat with the mercenary guard.
