The Kobold is (or was) one of the sentient races of Mareth. According to the letter you find along with the Ember egg, a Kobold is what you get if a dragon's egg is exposed to large amounts of corruption before hatching. Apart from that, nothing is known about the race.

Kobold NPCs

There are no kobolds in the game at the moment, they're just mentioned in the Ember egg letter.

Becoming a Kobold

It may be possible to become a kobold or at least a reasonable facsimile by combining dragon and demon transformations but even if you did stumble upon the right mix, there would be no way of knowing since we have no information about what it actually takes to be a kobold.

Trivia

  • In our world, the kobold (also spelled cobold) is a German counterpart to the French goblin and a generic term for a multitude of supernatural beings. In many modern fantasy games, the kobold is a sort of humanoid anthropomorph with draconic traits
