Your Codex claims they translate as the “the Sleet Staff,” though it cannot tell you the strange script’s origin. Nevertheless, the source of its name is self-evident. The staff is freezing cold to the touch and so slick that wielding feels like a gamble, even with a pair of survival gloves from your pack. Maybe it’s not worth the difficulty.
