These natural-born leaders and their personally selected retinue are avowed by oath to preserve and advance caesselian society, personally undertaking major ventures or glorious quests to expand their reach, discern the unknown, and disseminate the gained rewards and knowledge among their kind, effectively achieving immortality for themselves and their charge. The most gifted and skilled are said to assimilate smaller or even take over larger clans through sheer accomplishment.

It is thought that the caesseli never intended to venture far beyond their atmosphere. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that although there exist powerful clans akin to megacorporations, no one ‘family’ oversees any particular field of science or area of innovation. Most of these clans remain unknown to off-worlders, save for the largest ones in control of massive population centers, such as ‘Orenjule’ and ‘Phanjel’.

Adherence to tradition makes the caesselians strong, yet it is a source of fascination that, following their uplifting, a vast number of caesselians departed their world in search of a different future, becoming known as the [[Slyveren|Slyvereen]], whose beginnings are fraught with peril and distress. Caesselian clans are headed by an Overking or Overqueen, individuals of immense authority and responsibility that oversee the core functions of their entire race. In contrast to most hierarchies, it is the duty of those at the top to labor for those at the bottom. These natural-born leaders and their personally selected retinue are avowed by oath to preserve and advance caesselian society, personally undertaking major ventures or glorious quests to expand their reach, discern the unknown, and disseminate the gained rewards and knowledge among their kind, effectively achieving immortality for themselves and their charge. The most gifted and skilled are said to assimilate smaller or even take over larger clans through sheer accomplishment.

It is thought that the caesseli never intended to venture far beyond their atmosphere. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that although there exist powerful clans akin to megacorporations, no one ‘family’ oversees any particular field of science or area of innovation. Most of these clans remain unknown to off-worlders, save for the largest ones in control of massive population centers, such as ‘Orenjule’ and ‘Phanjel’.

Cylirians appear as tall, muscular winged humanoids. They follow the human/ausar norm of body shape in most respects, with a similar facial shape and body arrangement. The species is covered in a mix of skin, fur, and scales in different locations, with most of the body dominated by a supple layer of scales similar to those of an ovir. Their most striking features are their dark, colorful wings and the two pairs of bony horns that grow from their ridged brows and sweep back across the scalp. Of course, the species’ tails (see Sexuality below) are their most well known feature, perhaps to the point of memetic focus by those who meet them. Cylirian tails are long and prehensile, made of a series of muscular bulbs of armored flesh similar in shape to a terran scorpion, ending in a four-petaled slit which can open to reveal the individual’s primary genitals.

Members of both “sexes” have thick penises, measuring between eight and ten inches on average, and which have recessed slits nested under a prominent, clitoris-like sensitive point. Cylirian vaginas are ultimately human in shape and size, with thick labia and large clitorises. On average, the species’ vaginas are larger, wetter, and more able to stretch than their terran equivalents, due to the necessity of passing eggs. All cylirians have breasts which sit high on the chest, and which tend to accumulate the vast majority of fat any member of the species gains. Typical sizes range from DD to G cups, with individuals tending to slowly grow in cup size during the entirety of their adult lives.

Cylirian sexuality is rather unusual by galactic standards, as the race lacks females and males in the traditional sense. Instead, cylirian physiological sex is determined by two sets of genitals: either a vestigial vagina between the legs paired with a phallus-tipped tail, or a phallus located in a genital slit in the crotch paired with a functional vagina in the tail, which is connected to the individual’s womb. Cylirian have no gender, so to speak, but differentiate between “bearers” with vaginal tails and “sires,” with phallic tails who cannot bear children.

All cylirian, regardless of genital arrangement, have a feminine appearance, with breasts and large hips and soft facial features. Unusually for an all-hermaphrodite race, cylirian sexuality is generally feminine-focused rather than bisexual, with most members of the species only expressing interest towards females (or female-appearing) members of other species. This is of course not a universal rule, simply the most common expression of inter-species sexuality among cylirians.

Cylirians reach sexual maturity at twelve years of age, about which time “bearers” become fertile and members of both sexes become virile and sexually active. Cylirians “bearers” can become pregnant at any time, and are oviparious. While both sexes have vaginal openings, those of “sire” cylirians are not paired with a functioning womb, while “bearer” cylirians have them attached to their tail-side sex, meaning semen and eggs must travel a great distance - and in turn, the vaginal tail is extremely muscular and well lubricated to allow passage.

Members of both sexes experience regular periods of rut, usually once every three months, during which they have a significantly heightened sex drive and semen production. Individuals in rut generally focus their sexuality on their phallic organs, whichever location they’re located in, and begin to emit potent pheromones that cause intense arousal in those around them.

As both sexes have vaginas and penises, which share a common shape and texture regardless of location, both possess the species’ unique vaginal fluids and semen. Due to their multiple high-production testes, and the need for seed to travel through up to three feet of vaginal tail in order to take, cylirians of both sexes have high-pressure ejaculations that can result in up to a gallon of semen shot between ten and twelve feet in an open space. Thanks to the species’ stimulant-rich vaginas, rapid-fire orgasms are the norm, and the species has no measurable refractory period. Among their own kind, a single mating session can completely drain the father to be, and may involve upwards of a dozen orgasms until well after she has “gone dry.”

Cylirian ejaculate is noted to be sperm-intensive, more so than the human average, and to have a dark coloration. Due to a high sugar content, it is believed to have a sweet, almost juice-like taste and quality. Recreational oral sex is extremely common among the species for this reason, as well as to help relieve the pressure of their several virile testes.

Once a “bearer” has been successfully inseminated, she will rapidly swell with eggs. Typical clutches are between six and ten young, and are carried by the mother for roughly four weeks before she will lay them through her tail. During her short pregnancy, the mother usually experiences a marked increase in sex drive, described colloquially as becoming “cum hungry,” as she will usually become extremely receptive to penetrative sex. ===History & Society===

Cylirians hail from the highly volcanic world of Dragaera, a world noted today for its extremely high metal content and inhospitable atmosphere. While their world has an oxygen supply suitable for humanoid life, Dragaera is perpetually plagued by thick black clouds akin to the worst industrial worlds in the Confederate core, with rare sunlight and high temperatures. Between a hostile environment and sharing their world with several large carnivores, the cylirians evolved to take to their air, and build their settlements in the high mountains away from the myriad dangers of the surface.

Cylirian culture, upon First Contact, could best be described as that of a Templar society: prowess at the hunt and physical strength were both praised highly, but the species had also become extremely religious over the previous two hundred years, worshipping their sun itself as a “Fire Mother,” a giver of life rarely seen or heard. Hunting, or rather combating the mammoth reptilian predators that dominated the surface, was the species’ highest calling, with wings of warriors trained to take down creatures several times their own size.

Still, civilization did not come easily to the cylirians, and only about a third of the species’ numbers were located in the mountainous cities. Feral individuals or amazonian tribes of nomads were common, and conflict was common.

Dragaera was met with First Contact during the 13th Great Planet Rush, discovered in the close shadow of their sun by a team of Rushers commanded by Victoria Steele. Due to the high metal content of the planet, it was a natural claim for the up and coming mining magnate, who after some adventure managed to win over several queens to her cause, enough to pacify a large area of settling land, and began the Uplifting process.

Dragaera’s Upliftment is still an ongoing process, due in part to the hostile nature of the world itself and the militant belligerence of many cylirians. While not as fast as some Steele and Confederate leaders would like, the education and settlement process has not been the slowest in the galaxy, and several generations of cylirians have been raised with Confederate education and technology, and Uplifted cylirians are becoming a more and more common sight across Confederate space.

===Technology===

Left to their own devices, cylirians could best have been equated to the early Bronze Age of Terra, or the Age of Gods on Ausaril. Cylirians had no modern technology to speak of, and armed themselves with crude bronze or stone weapons and armor. Tools were common, concentrated on farms and in cities. Blacksmithing had become an almost holy profession by the time of First Contact, with smiths attaining a priest-like reverence from typical members of the species, likely related to the solar cult that had taken hold on three continents.

Cylirians born in Confederate-aided territory have access to modern education and are as technologically apt as any other species. Due to their flight and physical strength, many find occupation in the industrial or security industries, while their appearance has helped them quickly grow in popularity in the holovid and service industries.

<blockquote>The Kalabast are natives to Denkozenne, a lush world filled with a myriad of biomes. Like most denizens of the planet, they had a roughly equal split of males and females. Before the kalabast had fully evolved sapience, a spacecraft carrying the extinct Fhan’i antecedent race crash-landed in the warm marshes that dominated a large continent of the planet. After a short time these individuals apparently reverted to a primitive state, and came to rely upon captured Denkozennian males to propagate.
The two reached the Bronze Age at roughly the same time, and quickly came to be the dominant races on the planet. Unsurprisingly the fhan’i’s needs - and predilection to express it in the form of male slave-taking - lead to wars of escalating savagery, with the fhan’i’s numbers and organisation matched by the kalabast’s physical strength and richer territories.
Around the turn of the Digital Age, a fhan’i cabal of extremists invented a solution to finally break the impasse: a genophage that would change the kalabasts’ own DNA to irreversibly stop them producing females. Released secretly into the planet’s atmosphere and seas in fhan’i controlled territories in huge quantities, the virus was horribly effective, removing kalabast females within a generation. <blockquote>Over the years the relationship between the two races has broadly softened, with its former laws now acting as social tropes. Although they both have access to technology that can create female kalabast and male fhan’i, the kalabast regard the fhan’i as their ‘natural’ females, and vice versa. A general, genial patriarchal vibe still abounds; a kalabast is likely to keep 1-3 fhan’i as willing pets, although within U.G.C./Imperial space they will have the same legal rights as him. The kalabast are seen as natural leaders and providers, the fhan’i as muses and entertainers. This is by no means set in concrete; strict matriarchal societies exist, and both races are known to be sexually open-minded.
In more cultural terms the kalabast are stereotypically a laidback, individualist and pleasure-driven race. Historians and sociologists note that once in complete control of Denkozenne, their scientific advancement stalled completely. In comparison the fhan’i are energetic, inquisitive and selfless, and fit much more comfortably into the anatae way of thinking. They are almost always the liaison officers of their home planets and stations.

<blockquote>Bodily Structure: Laquines have the standard bipedal bodily configuration; a vertically orientated torso mounted atop a single pair of legs, topped with a single head and with two arms at the topmost end of the torso. Their arms are particularly human-like, each ending in a single five-fingered hand. Legs call to mind a giant rabbit’s, with powerfully developed thigh and calf muscles and elongated, paw-like feet. Laquines have an extra joint in the middle of their paws, allowing them to stand equally well on either the heel of their foot or on the ball of their foot, adopting a plantigrade or digitigrade stance at will.
Seated above their buttocks is a tail; this is fundamentally a rabbit-like “puff” of downy fur, but the fur around the edge of the tail is inclined to grow into long, downy strands, meaning an untrimmed tail resembles a horse’s at first glance. Fashion over wearing tail-fur trimmed or untrimmed varies from place to place. Long, luxurious hair grows out from the calves below the knee, with this excessive hair ending just above the ankle. This equine “feathering” can potentially grow as long as the hair on their heads, forming fluffy looking socks that partially obscure their paws, but for practicality’s sake most laquines trim it much shorter.
Facial Structure: As an anthropomorphic species, laquine faces are a weird blend of human traits and a bestial muzzle. Nose and mouth protrude in a short, fundamentally rabbit-like snout, but the muscles are strong enough to pull off all manner of human-like facial expressions - smiling, pouting, frowning, smirking, kissing, etc. Having evolved from herbivores, laquine teeth consist of cropping incisors at the front and molars at the back.
Long rabbit ears rise from the top of the skull; whilst flexible and capable of swiveling in many directions, as with Earth rabbits, these are still stiff enough that they don’t normally bend. However, approximately 1 in 3 laquines is a “lop-eared laquine”, whose ears are soft and flexible enough that they can’t support themselves upright without conscious effort on the part of the laquine and normally “flop” down the back or sides of the head. Despite common folklore, it is a naturally evolved trait amongst some laquines.
Skin & Fur: A laquine’s entire body is covered in a layer of smooth, fine fur, except for the lips, nipples and sexual organs. This fur isn’t especially dense normally, as laquines evolved in warm environments, but does respond to cold conditions by growing denser and thicker in an effort to help preserve warmth. “Woolly laquines”, who naturally grow thicker and lusher fur, are known to exist. Laquine fur tends towards dark colorations - blacks, browns, reds, navy blue, etc - but is often offset by light or even bright colors (creams, oranges, tans, etc), and contrasting patterns are seen as attractive in many laquine sub-cultures. Hair is usually a noticeably contrasting color to fur.
Sexual Organs & Erogenous Zones: Laquines have a fairly standard array of sexual features for humanoids: two nipples, a vaginal orifice, an external phallus, and a pair of external testicles, with combinations as expected for the gender. The nipples, positioned in the “normal” place for humanoids, grow into permanent breasts at puberty. The penis is the most unusual physical trait of laquines, and instantly separates them from “mere” anthropomorphic rabbits. A laquine’s phallus is “free-falling”, like a human’s, and consists of a hairless sheathe of foreskin into which the phallus proper retracts when not aroused. In shape, the exposed phallus physically most closely resembles the phallus of an Earthly horse, complete with the ability to “flare”, or have its edges swell upon climax.
Similarly, laquines have a “marecunt” to match their “horsedick”; their vagina is very elastic and naturally produces copious amounts of pheromone-laden lubricants. This is believed to be an evolutionary adaptation to cope with the size of the average laquine penis. Average size of penises is a length of 10 to 14 inches and a girth of 2 to 3 inches. Average testes size is golfball to apple sized, and extraordinarily productive beyond that; laquine ejaculate typically measures in terms of litres. Breast size is affected by how many offspring have been produced; upon reaching breeding age, most laquines range from large A-cups to small C-cups upon puberty, though proportions as massive as FF-cups have been reported from dedicated broodmothers.

Medicinal supplements to quell these urges, and to reduce the arousing musk that they produce during this period, are now freely available, but it has had its impact on their social structure.
Hermaphrodites do feel heat, like females, but usually in a much weaker fashion. In this state, they have even been known to sexually assault others in desperate search of sexual release. An infant laquine is a small creature, about the size of a Terran rabbit, and quite helpless, dependent upon its parental figures to care for it for about a decade before reaching adulthood.
Within the last thirty years, however, this reproductive system has been thrown off. Some unknown, plague-like affliction has spread throughout the species, wreaking havoc upon the laquine reproductive system.
Firstly, it causes the breeding cycle to experience disruptions; sufferers find their cycle occurring out of season, or simply not occurring at all. Disruptions can result in sufferers experiencing only a single heat a year, only once every several years, or even total sterility. Even when heat is entered, breeding success is impacted; stillbirths and miscarriages sometimes occur, but most frequently, only a small number of ova will be fertilized, usually one or two at best. In many cases, even individuals who experience heat find themselves failing to conceive at all, no matter how virile their partner is.
The effects of this disease are predominantly felt when laquines attempt to mate within their own species. Laquines attempting to crossbreed with other races have markedly greater success, with the primary difficulty being going into heat in the first place.

<blockquote>A relatively young species as far as the United Galactic Confederacy is concerned, the laquines of Asherah were discovered only towards the end of the last planet rush, when the human exploratory vessel Blue Orion entered a newly revealed solar system and encountered a scientific exploration vessel that had recently reached that same area and was quite surprised to encounter an alien vessel. First contact was tenuous, but swiftly proved successful, despite some diplomatic tension resulting from an incident when one of the laquine crew impregnated a female human scientist, and the laquine captain herself becoming pregnant by Captain Small of the Blue Orion. Peaceful acceptance into the U.G.C. followed quite soon thereafter.
Afterwards, the laquine population in the greater galaxy grew quite swiftly, thanks to the rather explosive breeding rate of the species. Though quick and eager to offer their services as organic crop producers, workers and even sexual operators, the speed with which the laquines colonised new lands outside of their own solar system attracted rumblings of discontent, especially from certain human organisations. Indeed, certain races have been known to openly proclaim the laquines as “pests” or “parasites”.
Within the last thirty years, however, this accelerated rate of colonisation began to severely die back, as the laquine species found itself assailed by a mysterious plague-like condition that has caused widespread fertility problems. Indeed, the laquines have become increasingly introverted as a species, as more and more attention is being devoted to pursuing possible causes for the sterility plague - and, far more importantly, seeking out potential cures. Despite decades of work, the laquines’ top minds are still trying to unravel the dark secrets of this disease. This extreme and unnatural difficulty in analysis and diagnosis has led to conspiracy theories of it being artificially engineered, which has furthered the general withdrawal of the laquine community from the U.G.C.
Medical experts have established by way of testing and observation that neither mod-transformed laquines, nor the half-breed offspring of laquines and other alien races, seem to be affected by the disease. This fact is carefully hidden from public consumption, an effort to minimize paranoia, conspiracy and xenophobia amongst an already suspicious and distrustful populace.

<blockquote>Though it is not socially enforced, traditionally, laquine culture falls under a gender-based trichotomy. Females are responsible for roles that revolve around caring for the children and adults, such as being homemakers, chefs or nurses. Hermaphrodites, finally, tend to gravitate towards the social power and intelligence-based roles, such as scientists and politicians.
