The legs end in feet that are like some sort of chitinous boot. It is segmented and jointed, but has the overall shapes of toe, ball, instep, and heel that you’re familiar with. It is a heeled boot thanks to an upward bite of the chitin, you’d hazard an adaptation for resting comfortably on a web. The chitin in question is black, but under the gas lamps that seem to be preferred in the bothrioc office, it shimmers with deep blue tones. A gauzy, elegant grey shift drapes down from the creature’s upper shoulders down to four gleaming thighs.

The face is pale with an angular look to it that suggests predatory intent and is framed by long, loose pale-blue hair neatly tucked behind chitin-shelled ears. Not far behind the hairline is a pair of firm, unbending antennae. There aren’t any eyebrows, merely a ridge where you feel like they should be. Beneath that ridge are a pair of eyes that are slightly larger than human standard, but pulled tight. Somewhat unexpectedly, they do have eyelashes atop actual eyelids. The eyes, however, are black as pitch, the particular shade which makes it hard to identify their shape and depth. There’s nothing breaking up the distance between eyes and mouth. The distance isn’t quite as vast as it would normally be if there was a nose, which seems to be largely due to how big the eyes and mouth are. The mouth is thin, seemingly permanently compressed or pursed, but it is wide, and when Ara Kei speaks it splits open hugely, revealing a massive set of teeth and a long tongue.

Behind the pair of legs not facing you is the quadomme’s abdomen; at least as big as a gold myr’s, it is clad entirely in black, pliable latex-like chitin. The bothrioc could be described as toned, in the small expanse of stomach that is snow-white skin rather than chitin, unlike the rest of the lower body. Even that gives the impression of someone tuned for combat by genetics rather than training, however.

Altogether, the bothrioc ambassador gives off the impression of intellect and good manners lightly coating a highly evolved and utterly assured rapacity.

Ara Kei may ask Steele for help in uplifting the bothrioc to UGC citizenship. Steele must have exhausted all of Ara Kei's Talk options, and spoken to Charles about a Fix? before talking to Ara Kei once more to initiate.

Upon accepting Ara Kei's request, Steele must contact a scientist to create a counteragent to the bothrioc quadomme's phermones to allow them to peacefully meet. [[Byron McAllister|Dr. McAllister]] and [[Doctor Lash]] can be asked about Bothrioc? but will refuse to make the counteragent for Steele. When asked, [[Doctor Lessau]] will create it for free, and after a five day wait, provides the player with two items: a Bothrioc Pheromone Counteragent and a Bothrioc Fake Counteragent. [[Julian Haswell|Dr. Haswell]] requires only a three day wait, but produces only the pheromone counteragent and will charge 70,000 credits. Note that the first three quadommes can be encountered before Steele acquires the counteragent, but the final encounter requires it.

To continue with the quest, Steele must find 4 bothrioc quadommes in the Deep Caverns of [[Myrellion]]. If previously encountered, their locations will be marked on the map with webs. Upon encounter, Steele can choose Diplomacy instead of the standard options. When meeting the first three quadomme, Steele can either choose to submit to the quadomme and become pregnant with its eggs, or find an [[Nyrean Huntress|alternate incubator]] for the bothrioc. After choosing to attract another, Steele can Retreat in the next fight to bring their encounter back to the quadomme. If Steele has high enough Intelligence, they may be able to directly skip this process and have the quadomme agree to attend the summit.

The final quadomme, [[Fei An Strozo]], has a unique encounter directly in front of the U.G.C. Scout Authority site in the Deep Caverns. She requires that Steele bring an item that will allow her to grow genitals before agreeing to join Ara Kei's bothrioc summit. Depending on the item brought, Fei An Strozo can grow either a penis ([[Throbb]], [[ManUp]]) or a vagina ([[Pussyblossom Pill|Pussyblossom]], [[Pussybloom Pill|Pussybloom]]). Steele can also choose to submit to Fei An Strozo, but this will result in the game ending after the bothrioc summit has concluded with Steele remaining with Fei as a submissive for the rest of their life.

Once all four quadomme's have been successfully invited, Steele can return to Ara Kei and initiate the bothrioc summit. Regardless of the choice between real and fake counteragents, Steele will be rewarded with the Bothrioc Geneaology. If Steele decides to give Ara Kei the fake counteragent, the bothrioc summit will fail and the bothrioc embassy will be permanently closed. Alternatively, if Steel gives Ara Kei the real counteragent, the summit will succeed and the bothriocs will set up a government and apply to the UGC for citizenship as sapients. After waiting three(?) days, the Bothrioc Embassy will reopen and Ara Kei will reward Steele with the Widow's Kiss. The Bothrioc Geneaology can be given to Doctor Lessau, although Steele will not receive a reward.

Ambassador Ara Kei Anya is the quadomme bothrioc representative in the DMZ on [[Myrellion]]. She/he/they runs the race's embassy there with the help of her/his/their 40 submissives, the largest bothrioc harem in known existence. Ara's chief aim is to win sapient rights for his/her/their race from the [[United_Galactic_Confederacy|U.G.C.]] and thereby gain protections that would otherwise be denied them. This goal is complicated by the fact the bothrioc have no written histories and cannot prove they have a culture separate from the [[Myr]]. Ara is therefore collecting whatever history he/she/they can find from the Myr, and exerting what political pressure he/she/they can in the U.G.C.'s planet-side nerve centre.

Ara Kei Enya is easily seven feet tall standing, but is currently squatted down amongst four relatively thin and nimble legs, serenely passing on orders to her many underlings. The legs end in feet that are like some sort of chitinous boot. It is segmented and jointed, but has the overall shapes of toe, ball, instep, and heel that you’re familiar with. It is a heeled boot thanks to an upward bite of the chitin, you’d hazard an adaptation for resting comfortably on a web. The chitin in question is black, but under the gas lamps that seem to be preferred in the bothrioc office, it shimmers with deep blue tones. A gauzy, elegant grey shift drapes down from the creature’s upper shoulders down to four gleaming thighs.

The face is pale with an angular look to it that suggests predatory intent and is framed by long, loose pale-blue hair neatly tucked behind chitin-shelled ears. Not far behind the hairline is a pair of firm, unbending antennae. There aren’t any eyebrows, merely a ridge where you feel like they should be. Beneath that ridge are a pair of eyes that are slightly larger than human standard, but pulled tight. Somewhat unexpectedly, they do have eyelashes atop actual eyelids. The eyes, however, are black as pitch, the particular shade which makes it hard to identify their shape and depth. There’s nothing breaking up the distance between eyes and mouth. The distance isn’t quite as vast as it would normally be if there was a nose, which seems to be largely due to how big the eyes and mouth are. The mouth is thin, seemingly permanently compressed or pursed, but it is wide, and when Ara Kei speaks it splits open hugely, revealing a massive set of teeth and a long tongue.

Behind the pair of legs not facing you is the quadomme’s abdomen; at least as big as a gold myr’s, it is clad entirely in black, pliable latex-like chitin. The bothrioc could be described as toned, in the small expanse of stomach that is snow-white skin rather than chitin, unlike the rest of the lower body. Even that gives the impression of someone tuned for combat by genetics rather than training, however.

Altogether, the bothrioc ambassador gives off the impression of intellect and good manners lightly coating a highly evolved and utterly assured rapacity.

Typically for the bothrioc, Ara Kei is androgynous. They allow [[Captain Steele]] to determine their gender pronouns upon their first meeting, apparently on a whim. They are well-read, eloquent and have the self-confidence you might expect from a being that has 40 other individuals attending to their every whim, up to and including tongue-polishing their four boots. Even aside from those under their spell though Ara has convinced others to help their case with the U.G.C., as evinced by [[Charles]].

Unsurprisingly Ara is heavily invested in and an advocate of the bothrioc way of life. They will encourage Steele to "experiment" with their wilder cousins in the [[Myrellion#Deep_Caverns|Deep Caves]], and through exposure to bothrioc oil slowly convert them to the Ambassador's way of thinking.

Ara Kei can be found in the bothrioc embassy, opposite the red myr staff office. You can talk to the quadomme about their race and what they are up to - and your "progression along the path", if you've gotten bothrioc addiction one way or another.

Once Steele is significantly addicted Ara will demand that they find a master to look after them. They will accept submitting to [[Sera]], [[Gene]] or [[Xanthe]] as solutions to this. Submitting to [[Lane]], though, results in Ara temporarily breaking Steele's hypnosis to the daynar and demanding they find someone more suitable.

==== Sex ====

With a huge harem to look to, Ara Kei has no interest in snuggling with Steele to begin with. Once Steele becomes addicted, though, they will hold up the reward of sex for permanently becoming a bothrioc breeder. If Steele has '''100% addiction''' and '''agreed to lick Ara's booties''', the quadomme will then '''tie Steele up and ream them senseless''', impregnating them with twice the number of eggs a bothrioc usually gives.

====Ara's Diplomacy Mission ====

Ara Kei may ask Steele for help in uplifting the bothrioc to UGC citizenship. Steele must have exhausted all of Ara Kei's Talk options, and spoken to Charles about a Fix? before talking to Ara Kei once more to initiate.

Upon accepting Ara Kei's request, Steele must contact a scientist to create a counteragent to the bothrioc quadomme's phermones to allow them to peacefully meet. [[Byron McAllister|Dr. McAllister]] and [[Doctor Lash]] can be asked about Bothrioc? but will refuse to make the counteragent for Steele. When asked, [[Doctor Lessau]] will create it for free, and after a five day wait, provides the player with two items: a Bothrioc Pheromone Counteragent and a Bothrioc Fake Counteragent. [[Julian Haswell|Dr. Haswell]] requires only a three day wait, but produces only the pheromone counteragent and will charge 70,000 credits.

To continue with the quest, Steele must find 4 bothrioc quadommes in the Deep Caverns of [[Myrellion]]. If previously encountered, their locations will be marked on the map with webs. Upon encounter, Steele can choose Diplomacy instead of the standard options. When meeting the first three quadomme, Steele can either choose to submit to the quadomme and become pregnant with its eggs, or find an [[Nyrean Huntress|alternate incubator]] for the bothrioc. After choosing to attract another, Steele can Retreat in the next fight to bring their encounter back to the quadomme. If Steele has high enough Intelligence, they may be able to directly skip this process and have the quadomme agree to attend the summit.

The final quadomme, [[Fei An Strozo]], has a unique encounter directly in front of the U.G.C. Scout Authority site in the Deep Caverns. She requires that Steele bring an item that will allow her to grow genitals before agreeing to join Ara Kei's bothrioc summit. Depending on the item brought, Fei An Strozo can grow either a penis ([[Throbb]], [[ManUp]]) or a vagina ([[Pussyblossom Pill|Pussyblossom]], [[Pussybloom Pill|Pussybloom]]). Steele can also choose to submit to Fei An Strozo, but this will result in the game ending after the bothrioc summit has concluded with Steele remaining with Fei as a submissive for the rest of their life.

Once all four quadomme's have been successfully invited, Steele can return to Ara Kei and initiate the bothrioc summit. Regardless of the choice between real and fake counteragents, Steele will be rewarded with the Bothrioc Geneaology. If Steele decides to give Ara Kei the fake counteragent, the bothrioc summit will fail and the bothrioc embassy will be permanently closed. Alternatively, if Steel gives Ara Kei the real counteragent, the summit will succeed and the bothriocs will set up a government and apply to the UGC for citizenship as sapients. After waiting three(?) days, the Bothrioc Embassy will reopen and Ara Kei will reward Steele with the Widow's Kiss. The Bothrioc Geneaology can be given to Doctor Lessau, although Steele will not receive a reward.
