 Major Ehstraffe is an idealist and propagandist who seems to be working alongside a slaver organization to keep the local gold population in check by kidnapping/coercing peoples of interest to trade with the slavers in return for supplies and amenities for their prisoners of war. She believes that by doing this, she is protecting the population from themselves as well as providing them the care that they deserve. She can see a drastic divide in the social-economic classes due to the war and uses that to bolster her reasoning.
