Description
Anno is a buxom, energetic scientist Captain Steele meets on Tarkus, working in the Steele Tech outpost in Novahome. A close friend of Steele's father, she found herself transferred from a prestigious research post as the head of the company's R&D labs to operating a backwater merchant post shortly before Victor's death. When asked, she reveals that one of her ancestors was involved with the creation of the Gates centuries ago, which led to her family's success and wealth ever since. While working as a graduate assistant at the university, Anno met her current lover, Kaede Entara, a half-ausar undergrad who she was paid to tutor in physics. They remained together until Kaede was forced to drop out, but have gotten back together shortly before the events of Trials in Tainted Space.
After graduating, Anno spent a short time working for the Akkadi Research and Development Group, the ausar company responsible for the original warp gates, and soon was leading a project to create smaller, shorter-range warp devices based on the same technology. The research turned out to be a complete flop, however, when the Joint Ausar Federation military got ahold of the project and attempted to use an unstable early prototype for counter-terrorism operations. The device backfired, killing most of the team sent through it. A second group was sent through a new prototype against Anno's advice, including her sister Syri Dorna, then a military engineer. The ensuing accident forced Syri's retirement, and Anno quit her job to avoid doing further damage. She was soon picked up by Victor Steele after working the convention circuit for a short time.

Talk
In addition to the usual array of talk scenes available both as a merchant and, later, as a follower, Anno has a few notable discourses with Steele:
- Anyone Special? - This dialogue option reveals Anno's polyamorous lifestyle, and tells Steele about Kaede, her current girlfriend. Steele can then ask Anno about possible threeways in the future, or her predilection for girls -- and especially girls with dicks. Once aboard the ship, the "Relationships" dialogue has the same effect. One of these dialogues must be chosen in order to possibly see the Kaede/Anno threesome (either in Anno's shop, or at Anon's bar once recruited).
Mods
After meeting the Huskar twins, Marina and Galina, a new option will appear in Anno's Talk menu that will allow the player to feed her Huskar Treats. By giving her a "pile" of Huskar Treats (10 treats), Anno will turn into a Huskar, putting on weight in all the right spots to give her a larger ass, plumper thighs, and massive breasts. This change is revertable after one week but the reversion is permanent.

Quests
In order to recruit Anno without destroying Tarkus, Steele must follow up her suspicions about the ship via the Ghost Deck quest. Anno will recruit Steele to accompany her into a hidden deck, Deck 13, on the Nova, which she believes is the reason Victor Steele assigned her to the backwater planet in the first place. If Anno and Steele survive the ordeal, talk to Anno again at her shop and she'll reveal that she's been cleared by Corporate to transfer aboard Steele's ship.
If Steele has allowed Tarkus to be destroyed, however, Anno will beg Steele to take her along as a crew member -- even quitting her job to get away from the derelict space hulk.
Anno may make a combat appearance during Zaalt's distress call.
