Description
Arkos Arkossonne is Mirrin's Human Father. He only appears to visit his grandchildren.
Appearance
You take a moment to size him up.
Mr. Arkossonne is a Terran male, free of any obvious transformative effect. He sits with a relaxed posture, two lumberjacks arms laid loosely on the table. From a guess alone, it’s hard to say what age he is: his hair greys in places but his light skin is taut and wrinkle free, clearly having seen some rejuvenation therapy.
When standing, he reaches about 6’2’’ in height, relatively average. Yet his height is matched by his width: he has the body of a former strongman, or perhaps a lifetime laborer who smashed rocks with his fists for a living. His arms and shoulders bulge through his casual clothes while ‘barrel-chested’ would be an understatement. His limbs are a quartet of aged tree-trunks, pillars of raw mass and power kept modest by his choice of outfit. His bulky frame never seems to hinder him, despite his slow and more loose movements.
His hair is a vibrant auburn shade with wisps of grey dotted about. Cut to a short-back-and-sides, it’s a very utilitarian style but one he pulls off. His face could be described as ‘dad handsome’: square jaw, caterpillar eyebrows, a little flab on his neck, a frizzy beard kept in check by a slightly sloppy razor. His eyes are a stoney blue, much older than the rest of his body by far. There’s a fatherly twinkle in his irises for every bit of dad humor he pulls off. For all this though, his face stays neutral, even contemplative. As he’s sitting there, you get the impression that he’s juggling something else when he talks with you.
Converse to his ‘magnate’ career, his dress sense is frugal or perhaps even kitsch. A simple flannel shirt in red and white plaid houses his upper half, buttoned so tight that a flex could probably rip it open. Now who does that remind you of…
As for the rest of his outfit, it’s plain black jeans and black workmans boots. With all this, you’d have a hard time believing he and Mirrin were related what with her assertive, assessing words always delivered in a loud voice but this guy… he’s much more restrained, happy even. At peace. In contrast to his sexually provocative - even aggressive - daughter, Mr. Arkossone keeps himself modest in his tone and appearance.
What ties them together the most are their accents and mannerisms. Although they speak Standard Terran English, words and phrases from a specific language interrupts the flow of your translator. Sometimes they have to think of the right word and spin their fingers around in an attempt to summon it. Perhaps the cutest link is their preference for pet names: Mirrin tends to call Arkos her favourite ‘bjáni’ while to him, she’s his ‘skrimli’.

History/Personality/Information of Note
Arkos is a Terran of presumably Scandinavian Descent. He currently appears in his 40's or 50's but he is actually over 100 years old. During the Spring of his Youth, Arkos worked incessantly to work his way up a corporation in general contracting and construction. After becoming a member of the Board of Directors, he and his friends left to start his own contracting company. Eventually he met Mirrin's Mother, a Gryvain Woman named Dr. Onsula Mairis. They were both fascinated by each other's exotic and alien forms and within 3 months Arkos got her pregnant with Mirrin. About 40 years ago when Mirrin became an adult Onsula up and disappeared without a trace, leaving behind most of her personal belongings. Arkos knows not what became of her aside from the fact she presumably returned to the Gryvain Heartland Republic and that her identity was fabricated.
Interactions
Arkos will randomly appear in the Tavros Nursery after the player successfully breeds with Mirrin and her offspring mature to toddlers. The player can meet and have brief discussions with their Father-in-Law while playing with their dragon-kin.
