“Captain (PC)!” Azra marches smartly down the boarding ramp to greet you. She starts to reach for a handshake, then turns it into a hug at the last moment, pressing you firmly into her armor-clad bust. “Thank you so much.” She squeezes you tighter, tight enough to make the straps and buckles holding it all together creak. “I went ahead and claimed the empty bunk. I think it’s actually nicer than the quarters I tried to book.” She lets you go far more gently than she grabbed you. “So where to first, Captain?”

You scratch the back of your neck as you mull over your options. “It doesn’t matter to you?”

“Nope. As long as it’s on the frontier and full of new plants to study, I’ll be happy as a galotian on Jitafore.” Her enthusiasm is palpable.

The reference flies over your head, but you can only assume it’s a planet with a plentiful protein source. “Good. I intend to crush this rush in record time. Hope you can keep up.”

Azra smiles warmly. “Fantastic. I’ll settle in for the long haul. I can’t wait to see the frontier!”

You walk into the ship beside your new crewmate, making small talk along the way. She peels off for her quarters once inside.
