Description
The Bothrioc Quadomme is a rare high level encounter found in the deep caves of Myrellion.
Appearance
You are fighting the bothrioc dominatrix. The weirdly beautiful (handsome?) androgyne hangs from a hole in the rock ceiling that is slathered in its translucent webs, incredibly sticky and strong gossamer that hangs ephemerally in the air all around you. If it were standing on the ground it would be about seven feet tall; it is a tall, lithe being that moves its four legs and four arms with an assured, eerie grace. Its limbs are encased in gleaming black chitin that is very reminiscent of latex, an association deepened by the way its legs end in toeless, boot-like feet. The severe tar-black of its limbs, shoulder-length hair and pupil-less eyes contrasts with the ghostly pale skin that stretches across its flat chest, supple bum and featureless groin, an uncompromising chiaroscuro that in the dim light seems flawless, untouchable. The only part of it that does not seem mercilessly well-calculated is the bulging insect abdomen situated above its behind. At least two feet in length, that chitin-encased oval, with its plump spinnerets and wet opening at its tip, speak of a bestial, arachnid lust lurking beneath the sheer, austere veneer of this creature.
History/Personality/Information of Note
The bothrioc are a race of genderless, spider-like aliens obsessed with breeding by collecting egg bearers and addicting them to their oil to make easy receptacles for their eggs, and form harems, especially now, as their species is endangered by the ongoing Myr War. Unlike their cousins, the Bothrioc Pidemme who, similar to the wolf and crab spiders in that they hunt, fight, and force themselves on their prey, Quadommes use traditional and trap door spider strategies by creating a grid or web of their extremely sticky and durable silk and connecting it to their home in the cave roof. When a poor creature gets stuck in the web the bothrioc will descend upon them, tie them up with their silk, and breed them. This method means that they don't collect breeding partners as quickly as the Pidemmes, but capturing them is easier and more reliable. It also helps they produce more oil.
Interactions
As of build 0.7.255, Quadommes will only appear after commencement of Ara Kei's diplomacy mission.
When the player encounters a Bothrioc Quadomme Web, they will be given a strength test* to break free. If they break free before the Dominatrix opens the trap door, they will patronize you for escaping and will politely ask for you to breed with them, but won't force themselves on you. You can say 'Yes, resulting in the Dominatrix breeding you for a few hours; No, which will end the encounter peacefully; or Fight Back, which will start the fight. The third option won't be avavailable at 60%-89% addiction. At 90%-100% addiction, the player will automatically choose to submit.
If the player fails the strength test* the Bothrioc will taunt them and they can either Struggle against them or Don't. Choosing don't results in the Bothrioc having their way with you. Choosing struggle will start combat with the grappled status effect. Players with more than 80% addiction have a 50% chance of automatically submitting and players with 100% addiction have a 100% chance of submitting. Automatically submitting two times in a row will result in a Bad End.
Following that encounter the Quadomme's will have a specially marked space.
The Bothrioc Quadommes are characters of interest in Ara Kei's diplomacy mission. Captain Steele must convince at least 4 Quadommes to coming to the Summit. To do so they must make Ara's case on their behalf which will initiate an Intelligence test. If they pass it while outside of the Web they will agree to come and leave the PC in peace. If the PC is in the Web however, they will still try to have sex you after agreeing to come. Note that if you fight them off and subsequently sleep with them, they will change their mind. If the PC fails to convince them while outside the web, the PC will have to bribe them to come, either by whoring themselves out or finding a substitute. If they are in the Web and fail to convince them with wit, the only way to convince them at that point is Submission. The 4th and last Quadomme however, will always be Fei An Strozo.
- Note: this test can also be bypassed by having a weapon that deals either burning or corrosive damage or the Escape Artist perk
Combat
- If the PC failed the strength test they start combat constricted.
- The Dominatrix’s webs act as a field modifier; as long as the webs are active there is a 25% chance at the end of every round that the PC becomes constricted. The PC can spend a turn hacking it back so it is no longer active. In turn the Dominatrix can spend a turn reinstating it.

If all orifices are already filled, there is a 50% chance of the Dominatrix either letting you go or forcing you to join its harem for 1 day. If the latter is chosen you'll be hoisted up and made to do a bunch of domestic maintenance tasks and engage their harem in orgies for the Dominatrix's amusement and pleasure. You will be kept exactly one day and your Bothrioc Oil Addiction will go up by 20%.
- Win Scenes - Upon defeating the Dominatrix, they will try to offer their own harem to satisfy your needs, leading to a Nice Orgy. Of course, they can say no and sleep with the Dominatrix itself.
