Description
Bartender and owner of "Burt’s Badass Meadhall" in Esbeth, working alongside his assistant hologram, Three-Dee, and serving girl and dancer Honey.
Appearance
Burt:
He stands just shy of seven feet tall, and has a frame that speaks of big bones and muscles earned through hard work and not vanity. His head is shaved bald, but his chiseled jaw bears a healthy five-o’clock shadow no matter what time of day it is. He has a healthy tan and a scar over his left ear. His dark brown eyes watch the room, flicking from patron to patron alert for any problems.

A passable image of a busty Zil female wearing only an apron manifests. She seems bouncy and hyper-sexualized in comparison to real Zil females, and might be somewhat offensive to any Zil not disposed to ogle her flickering golden form. Black metal tentacles emerge from beneath the bar top, segmented metal limbs that follow the bee as she moves about, ready to act as real limbs when her illusionary hands move to do anything.

The cute flat-chested blonde with the full and curvy posterior bouncing between tables and dropping off mugs of mead.
History/Personality/Information of Note
Formerly an ex-commissioned T.S.C. military soldier, he became a planetary drifter after his mother passed away. He eventually became a Xenogen Biotech security officer and fell in love with Henrietta, a doctor with specialization in xenobiology, working on a drug, labeled H1d3, to explore connections with genetic mental diseases and criminal behavior. Xenogen ultimately cancelled the project due to unintended results of the drug.
Afterwards, The Black Void were involved and attempted to force Henrietta to reproduce the drug. In her refusal, they drugged her, turning her into a mindless bimbo. To cover their tracks, they planted the evidence at Burt’s doorstep and accused him of illegal drug experimentation and human trafficking. This caught the attention of the T.S.C., landing Burt on the most-wanted list. In response, Burt ran away, leaving his past behind him, and eventually ending up in Mhen'ga as a means to lay low.

Burt speaks on a few subjects and can sell beer or mead to Captain Steele. He will also buy zil-related items.

Steele can take consecutive drinks while under the influence of the same drink up to a certain point: Crabbst up to 5 times, Mead up to 7 times, and X-Zil-rate up to 2 times. When drunk on a certain drink, the drink cannot be bought again until the drink’s effect wears off (which takes about 3 hours after the first drink).
Burt will also buy certain items for a special price:

- Note: If the player gets the third ending to Shep Darnock's Plantation Quest, Burt will no longer buy Zil items from the player, citing that now that Esbeth is trading with a Zil Tribe, he has a steady source of honey and no longer needs you. Furthermore, Burt buys the Zil Champion Weapons at 1.5 times base price, higher than any other vendor in the game. Bear in mind that Burt won’t start receiving the honey until 24 hours have elapsed after the quest’s completion. So if you can sell him the weapons before that you can make 12,000 Credits and get the weapons back by participating in The Droning Ball. Alternatively, if you achieve ending 2 you will have the option to sell him the weapons, participate in the The Droning Ball and sell them again. Or, you can challenge RK Lah, and then provoke the Zil Tribe to get the weapons twice. Either way, selling both items twice will net you 24,000 Credits. If you get ending 1, this added with the money Darnock pays you for Lah's capture will total 46,000 Credits, making it the most financially profitable outcome of the quest.
Talk
Burt can talk on topics such as himself, the mead hall, the zil, and work. He will progressively speak more on certain subjects as well.
When talking about himself, he will open up more on the subject if Steele decides to get intoxicated before he talks. He will also tell more details after Steele has sex with him at least once. Finally, he will explain even more as an apology after Three-Dee surprisingly initiates intercourse with Steele, immediately after a sex scene with Burt.

- Burt’s cheapest beer is Crabbst Blue Ribbon which he states is a terrible tasting beer that you should only buy if your short on cash. This is a reference to Pabst Blue Ribbon which is infamous for being cheap but being one of the worse tasting beers of all time.
