Appearance
The roehm matron of Breedwell Incubation Centre is about 9'10" from conch-hatted head to blunt-tipped tail, but half of that is horizontal. With its soft, moist epidermis and brilliant orange spots, her great, thick, yellow, lozenge of a lower body is reminiscent of nothing so much as the body of a giant sea slug. When she moves she does so with a kind of glacial grace, slowly undulating to where she needs to be, abetted by a thin trail of slime which quickly dries behind her, more like sweat than mucus. It's rather relaxing to watch, but it must be agonizing to work with her. Still, surrounded by monitors and rahn aides, the roehm is in reach of pretty much everything she needs in order to be the nerve center of BIC.
The upper half of Quaelle rears up to about 6'6", and is slightly less alien to your own sensibilities, as in general terms it's that of a plump, pear-shaped human. If humans had wet, hairless yellow skin and no ears, anyway. The wide, FF breasts shaping and straining her waterproof brown dress and lab overcoat, though - those you understand. As you do the pleasant, flat-nosed face, with its full, glistening golden lips. The roehm's eyes are arresting: double conjoined pupils, frog-like in iridescent blue irises, tar-black figures of eight floating in an alien swamp. Upon her brow and below her conch hat her cilia antennae climb, tipped blue like her eyes, constantly craning and waving this way and that. Her arms are ringed with charm bracelets, crude and colorful. The overall impression is that of a friendly, voluptuous infant school teacher who also happens to be a slug.
