Description

A towering naleen bruiser, Tarik acts as the Silence's muscle and melee fighter, wading into battle with axes -- befitting his primitive origins.

Appearance

Tarik's the newest addition to the crew. A few weeks ago, you knocked over a freighter convoy heading to Tavros, and lo and behold, found a cargo full of exotic xeno slaves. You freed them -- you of all people know what it's like to live in a collar, after all. You didn't come away from the job with a profit, thanks to that, but you did get Tarik: a slave meant for the gladiator rings of Thallisus. When you rescued him, the big bastard swore some kind of oath of service to you. What's the difference between that and slavery? Still, it doesn't hurt to have a huge bruiser with an axe on the crew, especially when he can rip most folk in half with his bare hands. At least, that's what he says he can do... and you don't doubt him.

-Tarik's Codex entry.

History/Personality/Information of Note

Tarik was captured by human hunters shortly after the discovery and colonization of his homeworld, Mhen'ga. As a towering warrior, he was doomed to live out his days as a slave in galactic fighting pits until the crew of the Silence accidentally freed him during a routine intercept mission. Following his liberation, he swore a lifelong debt to his rescuer, Kara Volke, and has since served as the crew's muscle. Tarik's relatively simple, with little understanding of modern technology -- he frequently attributes holographs to spiritual apparitions, and equates other ships to great beasts. Still, he's exceptionally loyal and unswerving in his devotion to Captain Volke.

Interactions

Tarik is a party member for the entirety of The Silence, acting as the party's "tank." He does not currently appear in Trials in Tainted Space's main campaign.
