Thanks for cleaning up spambots

I don't like how this website has gone downhill. I would like to clean it up. The very first step is eliminating The Google-Torture CAPTCHA! This is what's letting all these spambots through. Simply asking people the name of the game itself would stop all spambots. Every spambot can get by the Google-Torture CAPTCHA whereas no human ever can, it's just hours and hours of fake puzzles that never end.

You missed some pages. For instance searching "milk" gets a page with milk in the name. But then look at more results with milk in the desciption and there's tons. Most searches on this wiki find something.

Please see tons of them, going on many pages! This is all because of The Google-Torture CAPTCHA! Also in recent changes around the end of January 2020, you blocked a bunch of spambots but didn't delete their pages. --Difficult2Register (talk) 06:07, 14 February 2020 (UTC)

if you want to stop spam, get rid of the Google-Torture CAPTCHA. It is impossible to bypass as a human and so everyone needs a browser extension to get by the torture-pages with it.

There you go. This is how people get past your CAPTCHA. As a sysop, you've never had to solve this on this website. But for everyone else, only those with software can get by it. I'm new and want to help.

I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to editing a wiki and the etiquette of it all, but as long as I've played and enjoyed CoC and with seeing the state of this wiki lately, I decided to take a step forward and try to help. You seem to be up there in the hierarchy (and I don't exactly know how to find anyone else), I was hoping to get some advice on what I can do to help around here. I've never been able to get admins to respond either. The spam is because they use the Google-Torture-CAPTCHA which is 100% instantly passable by software and unpassable by humans. I have to use a browser extension to get by it for websites I pay money to get services from (eg. Verizon). Difficult2Register (talk) 01:10, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing things

Hopefully you can upgrade the site to replace Google's bots-only-through Torture-CAPTCHA with a simple questionaire asking the name of the game. It would stop all the spam. Difficult2Register (talk) 20:21, 1 June 2020 (UTC)

A few spambots got by your blacklist/whitelist
