Name (Singular & Plural): Rahn
Sexes: “Female”
Height: 4' to 5’8” commonly. Most are shorter, but a rare few can attain heights as tall as six feet.
Weight: 60 to 140 pounds.
Hair: Rahn do not have hair in the traditional sense, though most will morph their body to have the appearance of hair after sufficient exposure to haired races.
Tongue: Long and flexible, rahn tongues can often extend a good six or seven inches out of their mouths. Some subspecies of rahn or particularly well-endowed Rahn can extend their tongues up to a foot.
Eyes: Vibrantly colored irises with a vertically slit pupil. The pupil, rather than appearing black as a human’s does, appears as a darker hue of the same color as the iris. Their scleras are the same color as the rest of the body (though a bit lighter) owing to their unique physiology.
Physiology
The rahn have a wildly different physiology than most carbon-based lifeforms. Rather than a collection of tiny cells like most creatures, they are an immense, single cell. Their ‘skin’ is a thick, semipermeable membrane, though with a bit of effort they can permanently reshape it to assume certain appearances. They are almost always bipedal and humanoid in appearance, owing the notable advantages in bipedal efficiency, having arms, and positioning most sensory inputs at the top of their height. Most have further tweaked their appearance to resemble what many races would view as attractive females, as this allows them sample exotic DNA with greater ease.
Rahn bodies have their intelligence spread out in a web of fibrous, neuron-like clusters within their body. The distribution of their intelligence and other core functions renders them functionally immune to concerns of headshots or heart wounds. Severed limbs can be quickly regrown, though it will cause a loss of height and mass. Any wounds will almost instantly seal as the surface is converted into their thick outer membrane.
They can shapeshift slightly, though it is a slow process, often requiring days to complete any major cosmetic adjustments. Their skin and bodies are ridiculously soft, but they can strengthen their inner membranes to near human-like levels of rigidity, even without a skeleton.
Rahn excrete their waste as sexual lubricants from their vaginas or ovipositor, depending on preference. Some rahn have adapted to allow themselves to release it via lactation, though this is usually at the request of a close friend or lover.
Subspecies
Rahn have numerous subspecies, most easily identified by the color of their body.
- The blue and green ones are fuu’rahn: the toughest and quickest to regenerate of the bunch.
- Red are zel’rahn: able to excrete chemicals on their skin to disable a wide variety of creatures at will.
- Yellow are the loo’rahn: longer tongues, softer bodies, and better at shape shifting.
- Purple are the doh’rahn: exude pheromones that can be rapidly tailored to most races they encounter.
- White are the go’rahn: the most efficient eaters of the bunch, but only because their orgasms are so voluminous - both from their vaginas and ovipositors.
There are other smaller groups as well with less information available upon cursory extranet search.
Reproduction
Rahn are a mono-gendered species. Because of this, they will seek biological samples from other creatures before deciding to reproduce. The foreign material is used to help diversify the species, and without it, rahn can only birth clones, something that is greatly frowned upon in their society. Before ascending to prominence in the Thirteenth Planet Rush, they acquired this material from devouring dead animals, but since, they’ve become far more picky about how they gain biomass, savoring the galaxy’s large variety of sperm sources.
When a rahn is both well fed and satisfied with the quality of her biomass sources, she can choose begin forming eggs. These eggs will grow within her for a month before it is time for birth, during which the selected biological compounds are used to guide and shape the development of the embryo. Once ready to be birthed, development will be halted while the rahn tries to find a suitable mother, believing that incubating inside another being will be good for the resulting young.
Ovipositors be pushed out of the rahn vagina, some using the clitoris as the tip of it and others surfacing it just above. In either case, the ovipositor could be compared to a clit or penis in sensitivity. They are sometimes considered hermaphrodites because of this, even though the only thing their ovipositors can ejaculate are slippery fluids of the same color as their skin and eggs. Rahn who are ready to “lay” will frequently find their ovipositors extending in the presence of attractive females, be they other rahn or another species entirely. Some grow so enamored of their ovipositors that this behavior happens even when ‘unfertilized’. In this scenario, they will simply ejaculate lubricants and small, quickly dissolving eggs.
Implanted, ready eggs will resume development, hatching and filling their mother’s womb with their rapidly expanding mass over the period of about two weeks. The unborn rahn consume their eggshells and the fluids their mother produces for sustenance, often fooling her body into believing it is pregnant with one of her own (if not a rahn). Birthing is quick and relatively painless for both parties since rahn bodies are so soft and flexible. The young will drink and eat virtually anything given to them and attain full size within another two weeks, and proper sentience not long after.
Rahn young appear as a blend of their father, mother, and ‘mother’ in appearance, only rendered out of soft, flexible gel. Most often, their bodily configuration will assume the shape of their ‘mother’s body, while their face will wind up resembling their true mother and father combined. Of course, as they grow they can slowly reshape themselves into whatever they please, though morphing their appearance takes some time.
Though they enjoy nearly every part of breeding and motherhood, rahn will only seek to reproduce when they have time to tend to and raise the results of their passion and the food sources available to feed them. As they do not use traditional DNA systems, inbreeding is of little concern to them, and mothers will not shy away from directing grown daughters after their fathers.
Food
Rahn can consume the same materials that they use to breed, but they can also subsist on plants, water, and meats, even though they are incapable of using most traditional plants as sources of biological matter for reproduction. They prefer ejaculate and sexual fluids, finding them to be tasty, and if a sperm donor or slippery, wet pussy is available, it comes in handy for their reproductive urges.
Environs Typically Inhabited
Warm, moist climates are favored by the rahn due to their moist, liquid nature. They do not handle cold very well, and cannot survive at all in sub freezing temperatures. Dry climes are not prohibitive, so long as a ready source of water is available.
Society
Despite seeming to be over-sexed and almost nymphomaniacal, for rahn, the act of sex is as common as eating and approached with little fanfare. Once their lust or ardor is satisfied, they will return to whatever task they had embarked upon with gusto. Rahn are not overly violent or technologically inclined, though both rahn warriors and scientists exist. The only planet with a population containing mostly rahn is their homeworld, Geis. They’ve integrated wonderfully into the rest of galactic society, though many who do not know them better assume them to be easy sluts.
