The instigators of the great galactic war, locked away for their - and everyone else’s - good.
Name (Singular & Plural): Thraggen
Sexes: Male & Female
Height: 6'0 - 7'5.
Hair: Naturally, thraggen hair ranges in shades from silvery gray to a vibrant orange or dark red. Warriors often paint their faces and dye their hair in woad-like patterns, passed down by family line, before combat or major ceremonies.
Eyes: Slitted, predatory eyes, usually brightly colored — green, blue and red are the most common.
Physical Features
The thraggen are towering humanoids, often standing a foot or more over the human norm. Green-skinned and powerfully built, this alien race arose as apex predators on a hot jungle planet, and have evolved into a brutal warrior culture that teaches pain as pleasure — and their biology has caught up with them. Be it by scientific error or natural phenomenon, the thraggen’s ability to perceive pain is permanently diminished, and largely replaced by a powerfully sexual pleasure, which grows ever more fearsome as the warrior is injured in battle. Indeed, when a thraggen soldier is bested in battle, she is often begging for sexual release rather than mercy. Which, conveniently, has allowed warring tribes to end blood feuds with an explosion in population rather than massacre, allowing the thraggen race to expand with alarming rapidity.
Typical Environments
Though native to the hot, humid jungle world of [REDACTED], the thraggen carved out a stellar empire for themselves by “slow boating” colony ships at near-light speed in their local cluster, establishing a sizable interplanetary presence before the first U.G.C. warp gates arrived. Having no tremendous skill at terraforming, most thraggen worlds remain rugged, untempered worlds with vast uncharted wilderness between sprawling clan holds.
Reproduction
Thraggen reproduction follows much the same course of human breeding, with males inseminating females, usually in the heat after battle. Thraggen females will carry their child for an average of 5 months before birth, and average a single young per pregnancy.
