Willpower is one of the Core Stats Steele and other creatures have. It determines how vulnerable the character can be to physical, mental or sexual advances from the opponent. Its main practical use is defending against lust attacks and some bad ends. Kineticists use it for most of their powers and receive a 5 point bonus to current and maximum at level 7. At level seven, Mercenaries gain an ability that passively increases their Willpower by 1/5 of their Physique and increases the maximum by 1 per level.

Increasing Willpower
During character creation, the Austere upbringing increases Willpower by one while Pampered and Athletic upbringings decrease the stat by one. Choosing Willpower Affinity increases starting Willpower by one in addition to making it easier to increase the stat later on through gameplay. However, it does not affect any static increases added through level-ups. These bonuses stack, allowing you to start with anywhere from two to five Willpower.
After character creation, Willpower has less methods to increase outside of level-ups than other stats but various items and events still have a chance of increasing it Note that this list may be incomplete:
- Curdsonwhey has a small chance to increase Willpower.
- Training with Mirrin increases Willpower, though it seems to be somewhat slower than Physique. Note that Mirrin has an actual storyline that you might not want to skip through.
- Once you've recruited Ramis, you can work out with her to train stamina, increasing both Willpower and Reflexes. This has the benefit of already being on your ship but might be hard to do quickly if you have a lot of crewmembers to sort through.
- A light dose of the Brainmelt Lamp from the repaired Doll Maker can slowly Increase Willpower.
- Note: "Weak Mind" perk will double willpower losses
- Cum highs status effect reduce willpower by 1-3
- Horse Pill
- Willpower more than 33%
- Reduce willpower by 1
- Willpower more than 33%
- The Resolve stat found on Armor. Clothing and Upper and Lower Undergarments increases effective Willpower up to the natural maximum.
