Shield Generator are all the items that can be equipped in the shield slot. Smugglers, Mercenaries and Kineticists begin the game with the Cheap JoyCo Shield Generator while Tech Specialists begin the game with the Decent JoyCo shield generator. Tech Specialists also gain several perks that make shield generators more effective at higher levels.
