(Reworked the page. Added Ramis and Paige's Yoga. Added Rest. Added a mention of Augment-Weave Armor, because it's relevant. Not sure I put it in the best place. Added a reference to Sweet Sweat.)

Exertion Mechanics

Description

Trials in Tainted Space has a group of exertion mechanics that determines the physical condition (and possibly attractiveness) of Captain Steele's body.

Sore

Steele can gain the "Sore" status effect by tiring out the muscles. The Sore status can built up to "Very Sore", and finally "Worn Out".

  • If Soreness debuff value reaches 3 or more:
    • Gain "Sore" status effect
  • If Soreness debuff value reaches 6 or more:
    • Gain "Very Sore" status effect
  • If Soreness debuff value reaches 9 or more:
    • Gain "Worn Out" status effect

Details

While under the effects of "Sore", Steele's energy regeneration rate will be slowed down by half its normal rate. While under the effects of "Very Sore", Steele's energy regeneration rate will only be 1/4 as effective as its normal rate. While under the effects of "Worn Out", energy regeneration is completely stunted, except when sleeping. Sleeping with "Worn Out", will still restore energy to maximum. Wearing Augment-Weave Armor doubles Soreness decrease when resting or sleeping.

Sweaty

Steele can gain the "Sweaty" status effect by applying enough effort to a physical activity, usually from non-water-based exercises.

Details

The "Sweaty" status effect alters the levels, or "layers", of sweat on Steele's body surface. Layers of sweat can be added or removed depending on the activity and will affect Steele's overall attractiveness (sexiness) score. For each layer of sweat, Steele's sexiness is decreased by 5 (but if Steele has fur, it is twice that amount). Because tease attacks are partially reliant on Steele's sexiness level, the sweat penalty will make tease attacks less effective. However, if an enemy "Likes Sweat", this penalty can work as an advantage instead, adding 5 extra points to tease attacks (half that amount if Steele has fur). Sweet Sweat will cause Steele to produce Pheromones when sweating, potentially offsetting the penalty.
