The amount of generated shields currently available to the character. Shields will protect the character's HP until they are broken through, depleted, or otherwise disabled. Shields can be replenished using special abilities or items, if available, during combat. Outside of combat, shields can be replenished after a certain amount of time (usually a minute after battle).
