Researching the Ring of Fate is a minor event unlocked by asking Calise about the Ring of Fate. Doing it will get you in a fight with a bunch of raging bulls and a packmaster. If you choose the wrong suspect during the feast, you will be able to chase after the assassin, getting in a 1v1 fight against faceless blade. If you win, you get her bow and she wont appear in the last phase of The Siege of Khor'minos. If you lose, its a bad end. You also unlock the option to do the ring of fate ritual in Calise's path of Siege finale, giving you a permanent buff for the duration of the dungeon.
