Description
Owner of The Art of Scrapyard Maintenance, or the "Scrap Hut", in Esbeth.
Appearance
He’s a small, middle aged man with walnut skin, completely bald, dressed in sandals and a brown shift which might once have passed for an ancient monk’s cowl, before it got completely covered in oil stains. He is perched cross-legged upon a big shipping crate, surrounded on all sides by meticulously cleaned metal parts and pieces. He looks at you placidly.
History/Personality/Information of Note
Artie is a hyper-spiritual personality, taking note of qi levels and the particulars of feng shui. Accumulating objects for a living, he intends to "spiritually appraise" them through a series of meditation sessions. He considers himself to be a junk "dealer" rather than a junk merchant.
Interactions
Artie will "spiritually appraise" most items Captain Steele is willing to sell.
Sells
When asking to buy something from the scrapyard, Geoff will appear to handle the order.
Artie will buy any item at 25% of the base price.
Talk
Aside from his introduction, Artie does not have any specific talk scenes.
Sex
Artie does not have any sex-related scenes.
Quests
Plantation Quest
If the player stole the Amber Idol, they can sell it to Artie for 5000 credits.
Trivia
Artie's Cosmic Spiritualism similar to Taoist beliefs is meant to be a play on the title of the book: "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance".
