Summary


After rescuing Saendra in the Fall of The Phoenix mission, there is a chance for a new distress call from her again. Steele may receive a message while onboard Tavros Station and when Saendra's current affection for Steele is high. The distress call will ask for aid in helping Saendra in something potentially dangerous.

This quest will be heavily time-based and the outcome will vary based on when Steele decides to respond.

To respond to the emergency, Steele has to meet up with Saendra at Deck 92 on Tavros Station within 6 hours of the call. If Steele arrives at the station's hangar elevator too late, Saendra will be missing and her whereabouts will be unknown indefinitely. If arriving on time, Steele will meet Saendra on the construction site of Deck 92. Here, both will be ambushed by a group of assassins. Losing to the encounter will lead to a bad end, whereas a victory will reveal that Saendra's friend is in danger and Steele will have less than 7 days to help Saendra rescue her friend.

Depending on the decisions made during the rescue mission, the results may vary, including a Bad End or the capture of Saendra by Black Void pirates.

  • Shield Booster - Special ability where she will restore Steele's shields by 25% of the capacity if they are not maxed out.
  • Disarming Shot - Special ability with a chance to temporarily disarm an opponent.

At this point, Steele will then have less than 7 days to go to Anon's Bar, approach Saendra, and talk to her about Her Friend. If done too late, Saendra will have some bad news about him. If done on time, Steele and Saendra will locate the private room upstairs from Anon's bar and proceed with the rescue mission.

When at the hotel corridor, the first encounter will involve knocking out a non-combative bodyguard, with the resolution varying based on Steele's attributes. The bodyguard will drop his gun and Steele can choose to either Take It or Leave It. Afterwards , Steele will be presented with a variety of decisions to plan out the rescue and deal with the other guards inside the room.

Steele can choose to:

  • Barge in with a Door Breach:
    • This will result in combat with both of the guards.
  • Utilize the Call Girl as a distraction:
    • Pay her 500 credits for half-an-hour of sex.
    • Pay her 500 credits to distract the guards.
      • This will disable the mercenary guard, leaving Saendra to deal with the Tech Specialist in short order.
  • Ask Saendra for help:
    • This will give Steele the idea to suggest that Saendra should Distract the guard
      • This will disable the mercenary guard.
  • Ask Valeria for help:
    • If Steele is a tech specialist, the option to Holo Burn will be available
      • This will disable the tech specialist guard.
  • Throw in a Flashbang and storm the room:
    • Must be a smuggler or have a flashbang on hand.
    • This will result in combat with the mercenary guard.

Notable Items and Rewards


Loot:

  • Secure MP - Looted from an unconscious bodyguard.
  • Pirate Datapad - Found at the location after the rescue.
  • 5,000 credits - Taken from the datapad.

Bad Ends


Losing to the Black Void assassins in combat will lead to the capture of Saendra, and Steele will be taken off to become a sex slave for Beth Carver's company.

Losing to the mercenary guard in combat will lead to the capture of Saendra and Steele's death. Losing to the Tech Specialist will result in Saendra's capture, but Steele will be spared.

Resolution


If the time for the rescue mission had expired and Steele has talked to Saendra about Her Friend, receiving the bad news in the process, the option for Steele to help pay for a total refit of the Phoenix will be unlocked. Choosing to Offer Credits for the ship's release will cost Steele 20,000 credits. After paying her, Saendra will be off for around 24 hours.

If the rescue mission was successful, Peter, the hostage and Saendra's friend, will have gotten the permissions to allow The Phoenix to leave the station. Completing the mission will also open up a dialogue to talk about The Pirates, leading Saendra to spill some of her past, and her connections to Mirian Bragga, to Steele.

Either of these results will set her maximum affection limit to 100% and increase her current affection by 30%, officially ending this part of the quest and leaves Saendra potentially open to future adventures.
