Trials in Tainted Space has an exhibitionism mechanic that determines how Captain Steele treats sexual actions while in public places.

Exhibitionism is ranked on a percentage scale, from 0% (prude) to 100% (full exhibitionist). By default, Steele will start with a 0% exhibitionism level. As exhibitionism-related content is encountered, the exhibitionism level will change. If exhibitionism % is gained, there will be a small blurb after the exhibitionism-related encounter, notably after reaching the 10% threshold.

Exhibitionism gains are not calculated linearly but rather it is a system of diminishing returns that varies if a scene is mild (+1% or less) or full (greater than +1%) exhibition. The calculation thresholds are as follows:

Mild Exhibitionism (1% or less gain)

Exhibitionism experience level can be lost and gained in the following ways:

Notes:

• "Skimpy" refers to clothes that physically expose the ass, crotch or chest.
• Exhibitionism level decay only happens per day if there are no exposed or otherwise visible private parts that contribute the exposure level. This includes transparent clothing.
• If the exposure level is significant (any visible private part), it is possible that the exhibitionism level may raise per day instead of decay, with the raise changing slightly depending on the exposure level.

After getting to 100 exhibitionism, if Steele continues to perform sexual acts of exhibitionism in public Steele will gain the Ultra-Exhibitionist perk locking them at 100 exhibitionism. This also boosts minimum lust and lust gain when in civilization. A warning will be displayed before the point of no return for gaining this perk.
