The Steele Industries CODEX
[A] sophisticated computer system capable of connecting to the extranet through almost any network. It contains a short-range life-sensor capable of scanning new creatures and building a dossier of information based on the scan (along with available information found online). It can also handle audio conversations, video calls, and holographic conversations with compatible devices.
A Steele Tech-brand product.

Portable device capable of biometrics and vitality readings, global positioning indication, environment scanning, and credit transactions. Sometimes written as "CODEX", "Codex" or "codex".
