Description
Dr. Lash is a mad scientist who works in a shack across the way from Dr. Badger's Bimbotorium on Novahome. He believes sexuality and reproduction are a distraction from intelligent pursuits and the development of all sapient beings.
Doctor Lash is lethal, and will kill if he becomes hostile!
Appearance
"Doctor Lash is a six foot tall alien of indeterminate build; his labcoat conceals the bulk of his musculature. There’s no hiding his six arms - or the glowing weapons clutched in each of his long-fingered hands. His imperious gaze is channeled through a pair of glowing goggles, occasionally shifting to different colors as they cycle through various spectrums. There is not a shred of mercy upon his gray, unfeeling face."
History/Personality/Information of Note
Dr. Lash was a former employee of Tamani Corp who left due to a conflict of interest.
He believes that lustful thoughts are major distractions in a supposedly progressive society. He is ardently against sexual emotions--very much so that, in the past, he has attempted to forcefully sterilize a dominant species of an entire planet, which in turn, has earned him a place in the United Galactic Confederacy's most-wanted criminal list. However, he is not deprived of morals, as indicated by him denying to remove your vagina/s if you are pregnant.
He hates Doctor Badger with great exception, as she embodies the worst aspects of everything he already despises and refuses to even refer to her as a doctor. He has repeatedly tried to assassinate her. Likewise, she has repeatedly tried to Bimbofy him. However, both of their technology and combat abilities are so advanced that they are both at a stalemate.
Interactions
Upon meeting Dr. Lash in his shack, he will give fair warning to Captain Steele about the consequences of causing trouble in his lab. If ignored, or provoking him in any way, Dr.Lash may be prone to act hostile to Steele. Dr. Lash will attack the player if they try to flirt with him repeatedly or attempt to masturbate in his lab.
Combat
Doctor Lash is commonly considered the most powerful enemy in the game. Having the 2nd highest number of hit points and being the only level 15 enemy to appear in the game, it would be woefully foolish of the Captain Steele to try and fight him without knowing what they are getting themselves into. Despite having only one move, it is the strongest attack to deal damage and almost never misses. When encountered as a hostile, Dr. Lash is equipped with 6 plasma pistols in each of his hands and wears a decent shield and a Lab Coat. He is immune to being disarmed.
Attacks:
- Goodbye - Dr. Lash bids you farewell and fires 6 shots in total, from each of his plasma pistols, simultaneously.
- This is the only move the enemy is capable of.
- Deals massive, high accuracy burning damage.
- This is the only move the enemy is capable of.
Defenses:
- Armor: 25
Resistances:
- 80% immunity to drug attacks
- 85% immunity to tease attacks
Losing to Dr. Lash in combat will result in death (Bad End).
Combat Advice
The Bimboleum Defense System can be used to one shot Dr. Lash with sufficient shielding. The easiest way is to additionally equip the Prototype Pirate Shield and Zaika-Style Gown as this combination will work with any class. Other combinations involving the Augment-Weave Armor, Daedalus Threads, Trick Bracer, or Thermal Underwear are also possible but results will vary based on class and may not be a one hit kill.
Reasoning: Doctor Lash is almost completely immune to Drug and Tease Attacks. However, his Lust Caps at 100 and he doesn't have any resistance to Psionic Damage, which is dealt by the Bimboleum Defense System. The Bimboleum Defense System deals half of the player's total Shield Points upon said shield being broken, reduced by Doctor Lash's 27 Lust Defense. If the player has 254 or greater Shields, the moment Lash breaks the shield he will instantly lose. If the player is a Tech Specialist running a shield-based build, then it is possible to achieve these results with even less powerful shields like the Reaper Armaments Mark I Shield Generator or armor with less Shields and more Burning Resistance like Steele Tech Suit or Jeweled Outfit.
Alternatively, Jeweled Outfit and Salamander Longcoat for 100% Burning Resistance. While this does not decrease damage to 0, it is easily overcome with the Hirudo Devourer, even with low Aim.
Loot/Items/Equipment
When defeated in combat, Dr. Lash will drop 999999 credits and is worth 5000 XP.

Steele can also ask for immunity to SSTDs for 10,000 credits. The procedure will also decrease Fertility and Virility by 1/2.
Quests
Dr. Lash is potentially a person of interest in Doctor Badger's job offer quest if the player decides to Turn the Tables on Doctor Badger.
Dr. Lash is also potentially person of interest in Pexiga's Uplift quest as the player can go to him to see if he can restore Pexiga's mental faculties, only to discover that he would restore her to her dangerously savage, default form. He may also be seen to provide a distraction for the UGC Peacekeepers guarding Doctor Badger's lab if the latter was sent to prison by detonating a bomb on the other side of Novahome.
Trivia
- Doctor Lash's design and personality is supposed to be based Lord Voldemort from the Harry Potter book and film series.
- Lash's combat encounter was originally designed as bait to get players to share overpowered character builds that were able to beat Lash so FenCo could decide to nerf them. This has become less relevant as things became balanced and with the release of levels after 10.
