Upon seeing the Champion, she gives a friendly smiles and states that she hopes that they aren't here for a fight, that her name is Vari and she is just a herb gatherer. The Champion gives their greetings and asks what she's gathering, which she explains that she is gathering herbs and mushrooms for her tribe as they make for good poultices and seasonings in stews. She makes a lot for the children to keep them warm, although most of the time they just nestle in her fur.
If Cait is present, she will coo at the thought and comment that she wishes she could see. Vari notes Cait's ears and asks if she is a catfolk, which Cait affirms that while they do look alike, she lacks Vari's spectacular tail. Vari comments on Cait's little ears and compliments her fur, as well as pulling the catgirl into a hug. Vari states that she'd like to show them to her kittens someday, which Cait murmurs that she'd like that.
