A sluasaid is a shovel-headed beast of gnashing teeth that is capable of burrowing itself to capture prey. These creatures are native to the Sailgraves. The name Sluasaid is currently only told by Arona is she is present with the Champion when they investigate the camp.

Appearance

The earth itself flips over in a mess of snarl and gnashing teeth, before some great shovel-headed beast clamps down on the space you'd been occupying only moments before.

As the beast pulls itself to its full height, several more of the earth-turning monsters claw themselves free.

During the Champion's search to find Solveig's father, Brother Sanders points them in the direction of an intact orc raider camp in the Old Forest. Investigating through the camp, the Champion finds an odd patch of dirt, if Arona is present, she will stop them, having recognized the sluasaid burrow; else, a burrowing creature's teeth wraps around the Champion's leg, before being flung through the dirt. Three sluasaids emerge from their burrows to attack the Champion. Defeat or victory, the Champion is able to retrieve a giant metal bra that was stuck to one of them.
