First Encounter
The Champion will first meet Eira in the Eira option under Lumia's Talk option in regards to her giving the Champion a tour of the Palace of Light.
Bringing to topic up to Lumia will have her answer that Eira has been overworking herself and got it in her head that she's the only one that can get caught up. Lumia takes a small purple gemstone and asks the Champion for their help if they are willing.
The Champion has the option to agree to help, or ask Lumia to wait (and return later).
Having previously asked to wait, the Champion can bring up the topic about Eira by asking about the gemstone. Lumia explains that all they need to do is wait and she'll send for Eira.
With a sudden gust of wind, the mail-woman valkyrie is floating before the Champion. The valkyrie doesn't recognize the Champion, but assumes they are the hero who helped vanquish the shadow. After a brief exchange on the subject of mail delivery, it is revealed that the gemstone, a Memory Matrix Crystal, is meant for Eira to receive. Begrudgingly, Eira activates the crystal for both her and the Champion to hear the voice of Lumia, urging Eira to take a break and rest. Before leaving, Eira tells the Champion that they can report back to Lumia, and to tell her that she's busy, busier now having wasted time on this.

Interested in helping Eira, the Champion may ask Lumia about helping with the Mail, which results in them delivering some of the mail. Lumia brings the Champion to the mailroom, and while not staggeringly full, the amount of mail is more than one person can hope to keep up with, with more being added per day. The Champion now has the task to delivery mail to Lumia, as well as an introduction to the valkyries Yolihuali and Hjörr. It should be noted that Lumia will be unavailable for 2 hours after the mail delivery to her.
An Exasperated Eira
One day after the final delivery of mail, the next time the Champion enters the main hall of the Palace of Light (waystone and/or Annika's tile), an exasperated Eira confronts the Champion about what they've been doing. The Champion explains that it wasn't their intention to intrude on her job, however, the plan was for the Champion to temporarily help until Lumia found a permanent solution in order to reduce the stress on Eira. Additionally, its been pointed out that Eira does not interact with the people she delivers the mail to, missing out on wonderful interactions. Skeptical at first, Eira tiredly deflates and states that she'll have to talk with Lumia about it.
The two arrive at Lumia, who reasons that she remembers how happy Eira was when they first met and it makes her weep when Eira acts cold to those she used to love so deeply, that she'd like to see Eira enjoy her work again and to experience the fun things around it, and to show some of them to the Champion. With determined resolution, Eira accepts that changes need to be made and invites the Champion to her room, although, a day later as it hasn't been used much in recent time.

On the topic of Eira's mail duties intermingling with maternity duty, Eira explains that they do, especially early on when she delivered newborns to their adoptive parents. While she can still do them, the duties favor women who are 'warmer and softer', especially those who are already nursing as they can feed the baby and prioritize safety over speed. Despite it not being in Eira's duties anymore, she wouldn't say no to a delivery, but concedes that it requires the personal touch of keeping the child accustomed to touch, so they can be handed right off to the mother.
When asked if the surrogate mothers ever get too attached to their babies, Eira explains that it has happened before, but usually near the end of someone's career when they've already had thoughts of settling down. In most cases they either keep the baby and a new surrogate is chosen, or they take on a protective assignment if the parents are amicable to it. How often they stay varies, some have stayed for a short while until the mother can handle everything to years until the child is fully grown.
She remembers that one of her wingmates stayed in Jassira and became part of a noble's harem, and it happens often with the Siorcanna, as people stay as either alphas or betas to maintain a cultural connection. Lumia does not force those valkyries to return if she can help it, that any chance she can get for them to live a normal life is one she'll probably take.
On the topic of having a child herself, Eira answers that she has thought about it, and while there's no shortage of valkyries who will help someone who couldn't be with child, she's not ready to permanently settle down. The notion of dropping everything for several months to be a surrogate isn't for her, however, if it was planned ahead of time, she can be convinced.
When asked how she's handling the pregnancy, Eira answers that she thought it would weigh more, that she was going to be bogged down and unable to fly. She has had to take into account for turning and landing to keep the baby safe, but hasn't noticed it in the moment. While she doesn't think she's going to just do it willy nilly all the time, she can get used to the occasion as the feeling of investing her strength in something that's alive makes her feel incredibly warm.

To get Eira on maternity duty, the Champion must do at least 1 of the activities with her, before they can attempt to convince her during her Pregnancy talk, additionally maternity duty requires having sexed Eiora at least once. Having been immediately convinced on maternity duty, all that is left is to ask Lumia through Maternity Duty outside of Eira's talk options.
Once pregnant, Eira will go through 3 pregnancy stages (Stage 1 [10-39%], Stage 2 [40-69%], & Stage 3 [70%+]) which will add some variations to her scenes based her current pregnancy stage.

Ahmri: Red Book
In one of the variants of Ahmri's Read Together → Red, the story of The Battle of Pelissia is recounted by Ahrmi. If the Champion had talked to Annika about War Stories and met Eira (at least her introduction), they will know that both valkyries participated in the battle.
Annika: Big Battles
In Annika's talk on War Stories → Big Battles, she makes mention that during The Battle of Pelissia, Eira had managed to find them among the chaos and inform them of the Khushkan plan to charge the center. Annika quickly gathered a group consisting of Thrud, a dozen valkyries, and other winged allies, and were able to descend on the Khushkans as they broke through their lines thanks to Eira's guidance.
Drifa: Lumian Gift
After the events of Howling in the Dark and Drifa delivers her first children, Eira delivers a bronze medallion blessed by Lumia to ease the burden of pregnancy and ensure the well-being of Drifa's future children. The medallion is a gift, both as thanks to the Champion for dealing with the afflicted wolfmen, but also a gesture of good luck for Drifa.
Etheryn: Valkyrie Ceremony
The Champion can actually first meet Eira before her introduction through Lumia when she delivers the notification of ceremony to Etheryn (requirementsRequires: The completion of

the chance to occur happens every hour). Regardless if the Champion has met her before or not, on behalf of the Order of the Argent Wing, she invites Etheryn and the Champion to a small ceremony in Njorhaalt, to present Etheryn a traditional gift to mark the beginning of her reign.
During the valkyrie ceremony where Etheryn obtains her Warrior Queen set, if the Champion decides to participate, they will be able to spot Eira amongst the other valkyries present.
Freja: Winter City Outing
Eira makes a passing appearance during the second visit, where the young Freja will be endlessly fascinated by the valkyries she's met. Additionally, if the Champion had met Eira after her initial introduction, there is a variant in which the little Wayfarer assists Eira in the delivery of mail.
Thrud
There are a few times Eira makes an appearance/is mentioned during interactions with Thrud. In Hangout → Baths → Chat, Thrud mentions that Eira introduced her to a penpal in the Belharan Heartlands. Eira also makes the delivery of Thrud and the Champion's second and subsequent children to their adoptive families.
