Interactions
First Encounter
When the Champion first enters the Alchemist shop on the first tile of the northern road of the Marefolk Village, they meet Kavi, the northern minotaur alchemist, and Tarah, her daughter. Tarah appears as a background, non-interactable character within the scene: she brings in sweets for the Champion and her mother but trips and drops them all over herself. She offers one of the fallen treats to the Champion, but Kavi, her mother, shoos her away to clean up. It's implied this kind of klutziness is common from Tarah; Kavi scolds her about regularly breaking jars of alchemical components.
In Kavi's Males talk, she reveals that Tarah didn't hesitate to take Mare's Barley when the choice was offered, and, in fact, took incredibly well to the drink, which Kavi counts as a mixed blessing.
Saving Tarah
Tarah becomes an interactable and romanceable NPC during and after the events of this side quest, which is available after completing Harboring a Fugitive and beating Alissa in the Palace of Ice. See Saving Tarah.
Subsequent Encounters
After the events of Saving Tarah, Tarah can be found any time on Kavi's tile on the northern edge of the village, where she lives on the second floor of the converted Belharan scoutpost, above the shop and her mother's quarters.

Talk
When asked about her collection of god statuettes, Tarah excitedly tugs the Champion upstairs to show them off. She explains that she gets one whenever a trader comes through town, and that she loves seeing the different representations of the gods, especially those that don't look quite like people. She shows the Champion an orb-like Lumia (a harpy too full of eggs to fly), Velun as a mountain-man, a flying-fish Sorra, a serpent with a book for a hood depicting Nareva, a glass orb representing Keros, a candle with a tiny torch-bearing Tira inside, and another Lumia...holding a goose.
The Champion asks about the fish-Sorra in particular, and Tarah says the trader said the flying fish depicted can travel "a bajillion hundred feet" when the wind catches their fins, which she thought was neat. Tarah tells the Champion more about her other favorites, surprised by how much the mare remembers about each of the little trinkets, and enjoying their new-found religious knowledge. After about an hour, they return downstairs with Tarah, and give her a kiss before heading out.
To access cuddling with Tarah, the Champion must have chosen It's Me during Saving Tarah.
The Champion asks Tarah if she'd be okay with a pet name. After explaining the idea to her, Tarah's fully on board, and the Champion can enter a term of affection to use for Tarah into a text box, akin to selecting a child's name. The name is used in scenes with Tarah thereafter.
Several names are invalid, including various curse words, Tarah's own name, the name of any Category:Companions, or other residents of Marefolk Village. Another name must be selected to proceed.
If the Champion suggests "Sweetcake," Tarah asks if the Champion is psychic: that that's what her mom used to call her, and she thinks it's really cute.
The Champion can change Tarah's pet name at any time. Once one is selected, the Champion cannot return to calling Tarah by her name.
To access cuddling with Tarah, the Champion must have chosen It's Me during Saving Tarah.
The Champion asks Tarah if she'd say a bad word, in exchange for a kiss, since she's so innocent it'd probably be really cute. Tarah struggles to think of one, but eventually blurts out "boobies!" Cuddles
To access cuddling with Tarah, the Champion must have chosen It's Me during Saving Tarah.
The Champion tells Tarah their energy is low, and the only thing that will recharge them is cuddles. Tarah and the Champion head upstairs to lay down together in her bed, kissing, cuddling, and enjoying the warmth and closeness. Eventually, Tarah falls asleep for about an hour; when she wakes up again, she and the Champion trade kisses and laughter again before heading back downstairs.
The Champion invites Tarah to take a bath together, and the marefolk girl starts one up for them in a tent off of the main building, using cleansed water from the lake. Tarah and the Champion scrub each other down and settle in the warm water to relax, Tarah leaning back against the Champion's chest. After the water cools, the two leave the bath, dry off, and exchange kisses before parting.
The Champion proposes cuddling somewhere way out there, and Tarah and the Champion close their eyes, hold hands, and believe. After a sound like two people breaking the sound barrier, the two find themselves on Savarra's moon, with the planet hanging above them.
After identifying various countries and nations, Tarah proposes a cheese date! Since the moon is made of cheese. She's disappointed by the taste of moon rock, but thankfully, the Champion has a 75 pound wheel of Belharan mild cheddar they can share. And a blanket. Tarah and the Champion engage in cheese-eating and planet-watching until they run out of cheese, and return home with a pop, their hands clasped and foreheads pressed together. Did it really happen? That's for the Champion to decide.
Tarah's Finds
Every two days, when a Champion who is romantic with Tarah visits the Marefolk Village's alchemist's tile, Tarah may tell the Champion she's found something special she wants to show them.
She takes the Champion upstairs and begins rifling through a chest, and doing so, flips her skirt up over her hips. Faced with a clear view of Tarah's ass and balls, the Champion has a choice:

Tarah can impregnate the Champion. Their first child together is a unique, nameable son with a number of unique progression scenes and events; his game-suggested name is Basil. For clarity, this guide uses that name, but in-game text will use the name chosen by the player.
Tarah can impregnate the Champion any number of times following, but subsequent children do not trigger the unique scenes.
The Champion's first child with Tarah both follows the Generic Marefolk Pregnancy progression scenes and triggers a set of unique interactions, including a revised birth scene.
Reveal
After the Champion has passed the first third of their pregnancy, the next time they visit the apothecaries' home, a mini-event proceeds: they approach Tarah and kiss her swiftly. Tarah asks why they're being all lovey-dovey, and the Champion shares the news: they're pregnant with Tarah's child. Tarah takes a moment to process (is SHE going to get round?), and Kavi wraps her daughter and the Champion in a big hug. Kavi offers to help with the child, if the Champion needs it. Grateful for the offer, the Champion explains the child will be safe in the Hawkethorne Nursery, and Kavi and Tarah reminisce about Tarah's time in the Marefolk Village daycare. The Champion promises to bring the baby around for a visit.
After the Champion is over halfway through their pregnancy, the next time they visit the apothecaries' home, a mini-event proceeds: they focus on Tarah when they enter the shop, and Tarah, oblivious, notes that the Champion is getting round! Tarah Is Milky
After the pregnancy reveal mini-event, Tarah's sympathetic lactation mini-event may proceed when the Champion visits her in the Marefolk Village.
The Champion notices that Tarah seems uncomfortable, and the mare shares that her tits hurt and she doesn't know why. The Champion notices that her boobs look stiff and full, and tries milking her to test their hypothesis: indeed, milk sprays five feet from Tarah, even through her piercings. The Champion leads Tarah to a backroom and milks her into one of the available jugs, kissing and squeezing her until she's fully relieved.

Birth
The Champion rushes to the Hawkethorne Nursery from wherever they are, with the help of their party if applicable. The Champion gives birth to a young boy, who they settle on their chest to milk. If the Champion has discussed Baby Names with Tarah, they recall that Tarah was interested in a plant or flower name, otherwise, they hope that she'll like whatever they pick.
The Champion can then choose a name for their new son, whose suggested name is "Basil." Naming conventions (no curse words, no repetition of named characters) apply. Basil and the Champion fall asleep together. When they wake up, Gwyn comes by to settle the young foal in a crib, and the Champion heads out again, secure in the knowledge that their newborn is safe.
Basil Visits
After Basil's birth, the Champion can bring him to the Marefolk Village to meet his other parent and grandma by visiting the Hawkethorne Nursery and selecting Kids. There is a new option in the menu:

The Champion asks Gwyn how Basil has been doing, and if he's ready for a trip. Given the go-ahead, they scoop him up to go visit his relatives.
The scene varies based on whether the Champion announced their pregnancy to Tarah and Kavi before Basil's birth or not, and if they've brought Basil for a visit before or not.
Tarah is overjoyed to see her son, and eagerly agrees to hold him. She and Basil brush noses, setting off a chorus of giggles that brings Kavi inside for her turn to be surprised and delighted by the appearance of her new grandson. After some loving family time, the Champion says goodbye to Tarah and Kavi, and returns Basil to Gwyn's capable care.
Tarah is as excited as always to see the Champion, and notes that they're caring a cute baby, and asks to kiss the baby on the nose. The Champion stops her briefly to explain that Basil is her son. Tarah is excited, but sad she wasn't told, and promises she's ready and is good at helping out; the Champion explains they didn't keep her in the dark maliciously, but because they're in a dangerous line of work and didn't want her to worry.
After soothing Tarah, the two new parents discuss Basil's caretaking situation (he'll stay with Gwyn but visit often), and set each other to giggling. Hearing the noise, Kavi enters and is surprised and overjoyed to meet her new grandson. After some family time, Kavi and Tarah give the Champion good luck wishes, and they return back to Hawkethorne with Basil.
Tarah comes running down the stairs to meet the Champion and Basil when they enter, and Kavi joins the group just as the Champion hands Basil to Tarah.
The family either takes turns holding Basil until he falls asleep, or Tarah or Kavi spend the most time with him, who, respectively, learn about baby-minding or show him around the shop.
Eventually, Basil wakes for a meal, (which Tarah helps provide, if she's been holding him), before falling back asleep. The adults eat and chat until the Champion leaves with promises to visit again soon.
