Vari is a Leothran herb gatherer of her tribe that reside in Frostwood. She loves children and cares a lot for her kids, worrying about Liresh and Syrish every time they go out of the village. At times, Vari can be shy about her look due to her age. Additionally Vari spends a lot of time taking care of the kids of the village, commenting that the younger adults do better when they know their kittens are being taken care of.

Appearance
You see a large feline woman crouched at the base of a tree and facing away, idly humming to herself. Her tail is so big and fluffy you can't even make out what she's doing behind it, and the way her poofy hair extends out to the sides doesn't help either. Her fur-filled ears twitch as you take a step and she turns her head, a quizzical expression on her wolf-like face.
You take the slightest of moments to take all of Vari in. She's not a small woman by any means, standing at what must be a hair and two perky feline ears over six and a half feet. Her luscious, fur-covered figure swells outwards at her bountiful bosom and womanly hips, the extraordinary width of the latter exceeded only by her incredible thighs. She's not quite as wide as she is tall but — honestly — it looks pretty close.
Interactions
First Encounter
While the Champion has not met Vari, she can be randomly encountered in all zones of Frostwood, in which they will find a woman crouched at the base of a tree and humming idly. Upon seeing the Champion, she gives a friendly smile and states that she hopes that they aren't here for a fight, that her name is Vari and she is just a herb gatherer. The Champion gives their greetings and asks what she's gathering, which she explains that she is gathering herbs and mushrooms for her tribe as they make for good poultices and seasonings in stews. She makes a lot for the children to keep them warm, although most of the time they just nestle in her fur.
If Cait is present, she will coo at the thought and comment that she wishes she could see. Vari notes Cait's ears and asks if she is a catfolk, which Cait affirms that while they do look alike, she lacks Vari's spectacular tail. Vari comments on Cait's little ears and compliments her fur, as well as pulling the catgirl into a hug. Vari states that she'd like to show them to her kittens someday, which Cait murmurs that she'd like that.
If the Champion is a Catfolk, Vari will note their ears and ask if they are a catfolk. The Champion affirms that they look alike, although without the fluffy tail. She comments on their little ears and pulls them into a warm embrace. She states that she'll have to show them to her kittens someday.
The Champion comments that they're not surprised as she looks very warm and that the kittens must love her. Vari answers that the love is mutual, as she loves children.
Regardless, the Leothrans codex entry will also be unlocked, if not already. (Interactions after meeting Vari are the same as below, except for Visit Village?)
Subsequent Encounters

Having met Vari, the Champion may visit her at a wide clearing, where she may be relaxing in the glade or picking through the flora. Approaching her will have her greet the Champion and may comment on the tanuki, the Drider Queen, or the Imps. When asked if she's doing okay, she states that she is and she was getting some things for dinner. If the Champion has not visited her village, she will add that they should come to the village with her, and she promises that it will be so much fun. Additionally, if Vari is pregnant or about to give birth, there will be a different encounter scene. With greetings out of the way, the following options will become available:

Talk
When asked where she takes her herbs back to, Vari states that her village isn't too far away and she'd take them right now if she wasn't busy. She adds that her village is a welcoming bunch, additionally they all walk around naked and from what she's gathered from adventurers, they like that.
Brint and Cait are intrigued at the idea and wish to visit the village, additionally Cait comments that she always wanted to entertain a whole village. Vari smiles and tickles Cait under the chin, commenting that she's sure the men and women would be very interested in them, and that the Champion's party, she wonders how long it would take for them to work through the entire tribe. If Silly Mode is enabled, Brint will volunteer himself as tribute, else the Champion comments that that is something they'll have to put up to the test if they end up there.
The Champion comments that it does sound interesting.
When asked about her people, Vari answers that her village has around seventy of them, and that they tend to live in little settlements, with groups splintering off when it grows too large. When asked if all are like her, she giggles, commenting that while not all of the women are as big as her, leothrans tend to be on the larger side, men and women both. Since it's very cold, having extra fur and meat really helps, adding that it's no wonder that people dress up in so many layers, if present, Cait will chip in that it's not by choice. When jokingly asked if she gets much done at her village, she loudly laughs that they like to stay active in their spare time.

Leothran Village
When asked if they come to the village with her, Vari links arms with them and comments that she does feel so much safer with them around. The Champion see a little bit of smoke rising, mixing into the mist, and they comment that they spot her village. She comments that they have good eyes and adds that (she wants to see what everyone thinks of them/the reception's going to be every bit as friendly as last time). Nearing her village, there are several curious leothrans peeping at them. Vari announces that she brought friends and to make them feel welcome.
Upon the Champion's second visit to the village, they will be greeted and introduced to Vari's twin half-leothran daughters; Liresh & Syrish.

Champion Pregnancy
If the Champion has given birth to leothran kittens, they will bring their kittens to Vari and leave them in her care, stating that they think the children might do better with the tribe rather than in Hawkethorne. Vari pulls the Champion into a hug and states that she is very happy, that her tribe is growing and that she'll have children to take care of again. Before they leave, she promises that the kittens will have the nicest childhood she can give.
Pregnancy
If Vari is pregnant, the next time the Champion visits her, she states that she was meaning to look for them. When asked what for, she holds their hand and answers that she might be pregnant, and that the children are definitely theirs'. After sweeping her in a hug, she thanks them for blessing her with the gift of motherhood again, in which the Champion compliments that she'll be the best mom their kittens could ask for. When asked if she needs anything, she comments that she's alright for now, that she just wanted to tell them the news, but might be more demanding later on. After a long passionate kiss, the two part ways, and if Cait is present, she will comment that the kittens are going to be so cute and that she can't hardly wait to see them.
After the news, while Vari is pregnant, visiting her will have her comment that she's ready to make demands with sex because she's incredibly horny. (see Pregnancy subsection under Sex)

Birth
After 35 days (ShortPreg) or 210 days (FullPreg), approaching Vari will have her hurriedly call for the Champion. The Champion will comment on her change of weight, all the while she warmly hugs them with a big warm smile. She escorts the Champion back to her village, where they visit their newborn kittens at village's daycare. The Champion and Vari sit down and bond with their kittens. Vari whispers her thanks to the Champion for giving her the gift of motherhood, and she never knew she would be this happy again. She also states that she doesn't know how long the Champion will be adventuring or how long the village will be around, but if they ever want to stop or rest, she will always be here for them. Before they depart, they thank Vari and they promise that they'll be back.
