The Winter City

Norathar is the companion warg of Hethia, and thus always travels with her. The Boreal Elves of the Old Wyld train their wargs differently and thus, according to Hethia, they have a sense of pride that the wargs of The Winter City lack. Despite the strength and lethality of wargs, Garret is capable to fighting Norathar with his bare fists. Norathar takes discomfort in wearing the silver barding given to her while outside the stables of the Winter City, Hethia states that it was not a custom among the pale elves before the schism, but it's an easy way to distinguish which wargs belong to the two groups.

My dear Norathar is a lovely, graceful creature, not some lump of muscle and meat.

Hethia

Appearance

There, you spot the warg that Garret mentioned — a misshapen mound of muscle, maw and matted fur. Clearly the druidess picked the strongest, most beastly animal she could find in order to complement her — snaggletoothed and with a most vicious visage, the warg lounges by the riverside on its belly. The beast is clearly restless and twitchy as it watches its mistress bathe — ah, commune — in the river, but whatever otherworldly loyalty she commands from it keeps the animal from bolting off. Instead, it contents itself with endlessly grooming its dirty white fur, staving off boredom as best as it can. One wonders how she manages to feed it adequately... unless it's eating the camp's rations, it has to leave to hunt for itself, and that might create an opening...

Interactions

First Encounter

While not directly interactable, during the events of Dog Days, while Hethia remains hostile to the Champion, so does her warg.

Subsequent Encounters

Due to party size limits, Norathar does not take a combat role in the Champion's party when they storm the Palace of Ice in The Winter City. Norathar makes subsequent appearances when interacting with Hethia at The Winter City after Queen Alissa had been ousted.

Norathar

Without its mistress to contain the beast; the warg devolves into a bestial, frenetic rage. The last thing the Champion feels is a sharp pain as the warg rips through their throat.
