When asked about Males, in regards to the Marefolk, Kavi explains that when a male reaches puberty, they are given a choice; to take the mare's barley (to grow in the same way women do, while keeping their virility and minds clear) or be exiled due to madness that occurs when male marefolk reach puberty or soon after.

Description
