“ | You see, Tarah's got in her head that she needs to go find a partner, and she ran off yesterday talking about this great hero being spotted in the valley. I'm certain those stories were just the news of your escapades here and abroad, but I didn't get the chance to tell her such before she left. I thought she'd be back within the day, but she still hasn't come back. I wouldn't presume to ask that you indulge her, but would you please check on her to see if she's ok? And bring her back home if she isn't. She's... not really the type to do well alone.

Detailed Summary
Acquisition
When the Champion enters Kavi's shop, the shopkeeper looks both hopeful and crestfallen, and asks the Champion for a moment. Recognizing she's terribly worried, the Champion takes a seat to listen, and Kavi explains that Tarah apparently is worried about finding a partner, and got excited about a great hero spotted in the valley, and took off yesterday, and hasn't returned. Kavi would have told her it was probably the Champion, but didn't get a chance to before her daughter left. She requests that the Champion look for Tarah and make sure she's okay, as she's not the type to do well alone.
The Champion assures Kavi they'll keep an eye out, and asks her if she has any recommendations on where to start. The shopkeeper suggests she might be keeping close to the nearby river, for which Tarah is named.
At Pupperidge Farm
Deciding to check the farm as it's close to the river, the Champion encounters a bedraggled-looking Tarah coming up the path. Tarah is excited to see the Champion, and bubbles at them that she drank a bunch of milk at the farm and then forgot what she was doing... She remembers! She was looking for the hero so that she could bring them home, and she asks the Champion for their help finding this person.
The Champion can respond:
Option | Tooltip |
---|---|
It's Me | Confess you are the hero. This will result in horse romance. |
Help | You aren't really interested in this equine romance business, but that doesn't mean she should leave disappointed. |
Romantic and Platonic Routes
It's Me
The Champion explains they're the hero Tarah was looking for. After all, Tarah's really cute. Tarah takes a moment to process this, and then excitedly asks if she needs to kick the Champion's butt for them to be mates--or maybe the other way around?
The Champion can:
Option | Tooltip |
---|---|
Fight | You'll have to be careful, but you're sure you could make a fight end well for Tarah. |
Talk | Attempt to convince Tarah through conversation. |
The Champion accepts Tarah's challenge, promising to make it fun for Tarah, who agrees, as long as it's fun! If the champion defeats Tarah, they explain they've never fought a more determined opponent; if Tarah defeats them, she is delighted, and the Champion, in shock and laughing, suggests they head back to her home. After a short discussion of what it means to "princess carry," the Champion carries Tarah back to the Marefolk Village--and they walk in, hand in hand.
